FWIW - My CQ WW Contest Contacts QSO Maps
I didn¡¯t work the CQ WW Contest as a Contester.? However, I did periodically get on the radio this weekend for a few hours and executed some casual ¡°Hunt and Pounce¡± Operations (mostly on 10M, 15M and 20M with a couple of contacts on 40M).? I used my Kenwood TS-2000 100W Radio and my homebrew Off Center Fed Dipole (OCFD) Inverted V Antenna with the feed point at roughly 34.5 feet above ground level.? There were a handful of pileups I couldn¡¯t get through but, for the most part, I made it through the pileups after 1-to-3 tries (I don¡¯t have the patience to sit through more than 3 or 4 attempts). ? Below are QSO Maps of the 67 Contacts I made during this weekend¡¯s CQ WW Contest. ? QSO Maps - The world view (all 67 Contacts are on this map)
