SoMDVEG Tailgate Fest VE Test Session

WHEN:  The SMCARA’s Tailgate In-Person VE testing is 
scheduled for Saturday, 12 October 2024, 0800ET-1100ET.
Amateur Radio FCC licensing test will be rendered at 
the Hollywood Volunteer Fire Department, Training Room, 
24801 Three  Notch Rd, Hollywood, MD 20636,
(38.347645N, 076.577179W)

STUDY MATERIALS:   is recommended

FCC REGISTRATION NUMBER (FRN): All amateur examination 
applicants are required to posses a FRN prior to registering
for an exam and to the Volunteer Examiners (VEs)

IDENTIFICATION:  Identification is required before testing  
commences.  A U.S.issued  identification, such as a U.S.  
State Driver License, U.S. Passport, U.S. Military ID, U.S. 
DoD Civilian ID, U.S.Visa, U.S. Green Card, U.S. TWIC, or .
an International Passport in the English Language, are 
acceptable and required for all appliciants

TEST PRE-REGISTER AT:


Registration is a three step process; all steps must be
completed. The registration cost is $10, payable when you
register at the Hamstudy.org site

AVAILABILIITY:  New licenses for Technician, or upgrading
tests to General and Extra classes are available

BRING YOUR OWN:  Testing stations are limited-to-scarse.
Bring your own Internet(WIFI) capable network device, such 
as a laptop, tablet, iPAD, even your current Cell Phone, 
that is equipped with a current web browser,such as Brave,
Silk, Firefox, Chrome, etc

YOUTH: Under 18 year olds are welcome BUT must be accompanied
by a parent or guardian who need to “vouch” for the youth
applicant(s). Both require identification
