History vs Daily Monitor Display

Good evening and thanks for the group. I just installed 6.37. 6.36 did switch days at 2359 as it should have about 90 minutes ago and the Monitor Display did go to none. Clicking "Waiting" does bring up the history just fine. I just can't get it to go back to Daily without closing the program and reopening.

My 1st connect today at 4/5/0122z got an incorrect banner:

Statistics so far today:
Total connects = 11 (the 4/4 number)
Peak throughput (1336 on 40 by KJ6JEU) (this is a 4/2 connection)
Total Messages = 7 (the 4/4 number)

In any event, I like the program!

We are working on that feature Ken. Will probably have an update later in the week.

1.0.6.37 is moving back and forth between daily and monthly here OK in the main window data. The Connections graph window however is remaining at monthly display without a reboot.

Is that the same as you are seeing.

Re: History vs Daily Monitor Display

OK, Thanks.

It did work that way just fine in one of our earlier pre-beta versions.
I'm sure DoC will pick that up later with the next revision. I don't "do" the code work.

Appreciate the input to help make this better.

We are back from the hospital and all went as planned. Judy is going to have a black and blue eye for a few days. Had to make two passes at getting it all. Wore both of us out today 7:15 to 4:00 – long day. Later……

Re: History vs Daily Monitor Display

Hi Werner

I have been reading the mail and wondering if you have tested the MONITOR program by trying it from the root directory.

Understand your intent to keep it clean and tidy, but shouldn't be much of a problem to uninstall / remove after a test.

That might help DoC and you confirm if the present error messages are from a PATH situation, or something else?

Perhaps you have done this and I just missed reading it?

Michael

BTW, I really enjoy the quotes you provide in some of your messages. What is your source / resource?

I’m pretty sure that indicates that MONITOR couldn’t find some file or folder Werner. I duplicated ur path and folder configuration here including some of ur log files and 39 worked here. I’m at a loss to understand why it doesn’t work there.

I tried it with the result that I get a bunch of error boxes "Graphics
server already running"
My setup for the test: all directories in default paths:
c:\rms\rms pactor\monitor.aut
.\log\
.\data

I also tried it to run from c:\afu\rms pactor\monitor.auto with the
mentioned EAccessviolation Error when I press on the "waiting" field.
setup for running RMS Pactor:
c:\Afu\rms pactor
.\logs
.\data
.\monitor.auto

I am steeling quotes wherever I find them
Pegasus mail chooses a random quote and puts it after my mails without
my knoledge.
I use Thalia for collecting quotes.

Re: History vs Daily Monitor Display

Good Day Werner

Thanks for the update on your testing. When DoC and I were working on this last fall, I ran into a similar situation a couple of times.

I uninstalled everything and ran the full installer program that DoC created. THEN I loaded the current .exe file and that seemed to resolve issues for me. It may or may not work for you, but worth a try if you haven't already done so.

Thanks for info on quotes. I enjoy seeing them from time to time.

I re-installed it in the Root directory, the Graphic server error disappeared but now I again see
the EAccess violation Error.

OE3ZK

Hi Michael and Doc,

V 1.0.6.39 works fine and correct with RMS Winmor OE5XIR-5....

....but not with RMS Pactor OE3XEC

I see no more error messages but the daily figures are incorrect, the previous multiplication factor dissapeared but the addition of daily connects does not work correctly.
The Log shows 6 connections while the RMS Pactor Monitor counts only 2
