Field Day is This Saturday!! Set up will begin at 11am and we¡¯ll start operating at 1pm. We¡¯ll operate until approximately 8pm unless the heat takes us out sooner! We will be located at the Howell County EOC and have either 3 or 4 stations up and operating. We¡¯ll have the radios and antennas set up, so you just need to come and join in the fun. I¡¯d recommend bringing a lawn chair and cold drinks, although some of us will have coolers of bottled water.?

We hope everyone will join us for the fun!

Happy Field Day!! It¡¯s going to be a scorcher, so bring water and make sure you stay hydrated!! You might also throw in a lawn chair.

A few of us gathered radios and antennas yesterday and think we have everything needed to get set up and operating. If anyone has short PL259 to PL259 jumpers, 2 to 3 feet, we could possibly use a few to add in band pass filters. I¡¯m going to check my box of miscellaneous stuff I could never get rid of and see if I have some before I leave.

We¡¯ll have 3 stations operating SSB on 40, 20, and 15 or 10. An FT8 station that will operate wherever the band allows for the most contacts, and a GOTA station (Get on the Air). I¡¯ll have to look at the rules once again, but believe the GOTA station will operate under the callsign of whoever is controlling it at the time instead of the club callsign, so our club classification today will be 4F. ?

We hope you can come join us! We figure we¡¯ll operate until about 8pm tonight, give or take, so swing by and join in!!

Farmer¡¯s Market Saturday

We¡¯ll be set up at the Farmers Market Saturday from 9-1, located in the parking lot of Endurance Church. Come by and visit if you can! I have a ¡±new-to-me¡± low band coil I want to tune and try on my buddi-stick. The bands might not cooperate but I¡¯ll get to tune it!

Allstar / Echolink Operational

The Allstar and Echolink node has been installed on the 444.425 repeater, which is linked to the 145.250 repeater. We¡¯ll probably have some fine tuning to do, but give it a try. Allstar node number is 61749. I don¡¯t know what the Echolink node number is, but you should be able to find it by searching W0HCA-R.?

Also, the ARES net will be at 7pm this evening! Hope everyone can join.?
