HRO is looking for suggestions on where to put a new store. Probably a slim chance of them putting one somewhere smaller than St Louis or Kansas City, but members of the Nixa club are submitting Springfield. I’d love to have a store like HRO as close as Springfield. Use the link below to submit your recommendation. Let them know they would have customers in this region!!

John Price, KO?KY, is not doing well at all. I am told that he has been in a Springfield hospital pretty much since his surgery of early January. I do not have details past that. What we do have is a get well card and a way to get it to John. The card will be at The Battery Station for about a week before we send it. Anyone interested in signing the card is invited to stop by the shop and add your name.

At the farmers market today, we had some interest from some potential new hams. At least one has already joined our group here. Please share any information or material you have or would recommend to someone that is just starting. I’ll share a link to the ARRL tech manual, which is where all the test questions come from. There are also endless YouTube videos and apps available, so share any info you may have used that could benefit others. Thanks for your help!!

Next Saturday February 18th, members from the Howell County Amateur Radio Club will be working 10 meters from the Farmers Market located at Endurance Church in West Plains from 9:00 to 1:00. Craig, KE0TKC has a booth at the market on a regular basis and has invited us to have some fun and do a demonstration at his booth. We’ll be setting up a couple stations and all are invited to come by and join in the fun. If you haven’t been on 10 meters lately, it’s really been good!!?

We’ll also be monitoring 2m and GMRS repeaters if you’re in the area. ?Call in on 145.250 (-) 110.9hz or?462.700 (+) 110.9hz for those with a GMRS license.

We look forward to seeing as many as can come!!

Radiodiddty GD-88 DMR Handheld radio. Purchased a few months ago and just don’t use it. Comes with radio, battery, charging dock, and programming cable. Barely used. This will do both Analog and DMR. $170, which is about $50 off what they cost on Amazon.
