Today was the final day of our technician class. We had 6 pass the tech test, and 2 pass the General test! Congratulations to all, and we hope you¡¯ll join us at our next club meeting! Thanks to all that helped to make the class a success!?

Monthly Meeting Tonight

 

I know it¡¯s been a busy weekend for everyone, but there will be a club meeting tonight at 6pm. I¡¯ll try to keep it brief. Also, Tech Classes start this Saturday. No rest for the weary!?

Eclipse Weekend Starts Now!!

 

Eclipse weekend has arrived, and the Howell County ARES group is working in conjunction with the Howell County Emergency Operations center for the duration of the weekend! We¡¯ll be monitoring the 145.250 (-) 110.9hz repeater primarily, but also the 146.940 (-) 110.9, 444.425 (+) 110.9, and 146.52 simplex. If you need information or have info to pass along, call Howell County ARES net control. We¡¯ll also be making announcements along the way that may be of benefit if you¡¯re in the area. If you¡¯re a licensed amateur, tune in and check in! Bill KF0BFD is set up now and you¡¯ll start hearing him shortly if not already!!

Sorry I missed the meeting. Trying to get things out for spring cleanup. Kevin said there was discussion about search dogs for the eclipse. What questions do you have about them or what needs might there need to be? Call me at 417-293-5574 Mike or you can text me as I don't always answer my phone with all the spam calls, I get.
