Hi Bob,

My 1948 Arnold's Business Directory shows no Sambo's, but it's a very
selective directory.

I just happened to have a Xerox copy of the 1966 Yellow Pages
restaurant section. It shows one Sambo's at 902 E. Broadway, which
you mentioned, plus 345 W. Drachman.

I'll dig around some more.

Thanks Carlos,I heard that Bonnie Henry who has
articles in Azstarnet is very much into the history of
Tucson.Not sure if she is aware of vanishing

The Sambo's @ 902 E. Broadway is now Chaffin's. There are some
possibly authentic Sambo's artifacts behind the counter for the
viewing if one was interested.
