In my 70's now with chronic bronchitis I'm scared to death and how easy it is to get this and not even know where or how one got it like my little Brother.

Hi everyone,

Yesterday about 1pm and today about 10am I got amazing close views of an AMERICAN BITTERN hunting at Colony Farm.

It’s in the ditch beside the east end of the parking lot at the community gardens, south end of Colony Farm Road.

Both times several of us (who were all there solo) saw it catch a salamander!

It doesn’t react at all to any of the many walkers and bikers going by and talking on the dike right above it.

Below are a few photos of it.

David S. found 8 MOUNTAIN BLUEBIRDS in the field on the west side of Colony Farm Road (7 male, 1 female). Could only get this poor, distant poor photo.

We watched them for about 20 minutes, until they flew to the east side of Colony Farm Road, then a Northern Harrier flushed them and they disappeared.

?

Colin S. yesterday and David S. today saw a pair of CINAMMON TEAL in the ditch along the west side of the Home Farm Dyke Trail, about halfway between the start of Sheep’s Paddock Trail and Millennium Bridge.
