Why the SCOTUS EPA decision is so important
While the Dobbs decision was getting all the attention last week, a decision that was way more far-reaching also emanated from SCOTUS, as they reined in the power of the EPA for overreach. Essentially, they began to dismantle the Administrative Procedure Act(APA). This is the act that empowered various Federal agencies to write and prosecute their own laws with absolutely no Congressional involvement. Neil Gorsuch writes in his book, "If You Can Keep It," about the almost arbitrary way that these agencies change their policies, making it nearly impossible for citizens to comply. One minute a practice is against the law, the next minute, a new Administration has repealed the law. It's madness, but nobody knows about it. -- Rob Frankel Chief Curmudgeon

Amazing! Israel to be the FIRST Country in the World to Pipe Desalinated Water into a Sinking Freshwater Lake!

---------- Forwarded message --------- From: Janet Levy <janetlevyross@...> Date: Tue, Jun 28, 2022, 8:06 AM Subject: Amazing! Israel to be the FIRST Country in the World to Pipe Desalinated Water into a Sinking Freshwater Lake! To: Janet Levy <janetlevyross@...> In California, we live near the largest body of water in the world - the Pacific Ocean - and are suffering from a ¡°drought.¡± Persecuted Ukrainian Zionist and scientist Alexander Zarchin, who immigrated to British Palestine in 1947 (the Jews were called Palestinians at the time), invented seawater desalination in 1964, for which he received a patent. Shortly thereafter, stories of Jews ¡°making the desert bloom¡± in Israel became legendary. The largest desalination plant in the Western Hemisphere is in San Diego, producing 50 million gallons of desalinated water daily. The under $1 billion project began operation in 2015 and currently produces 50 million gallons of desalinated seawater daily. (In contrast, the payback for union support for state Democrats - the high-speed train between Los Angeles and San Francisco is estimated at a completion cost of $105 billion after voters initially approved a $9 billion project in 2008). Now, Israel will be the FIRST country in the world to pipe desalinated water into a natural lake! If Eretz Yisrael can do it, America can certainly follow suit! An excellent week
Just goes to show you that hard work, diligence and the United States Constitution is stronger than people think. As of today, SCOTUS has ruled: 1. Roe v. Wade is gone. The question of abortion is back to the states, where it always should have been. 2. New York's restrictive gun laws, specifically regarding the issuance the right to carry, has been ruled invalid, with national consequences, as a Second Amendment right. 3. An 8-1 decision affirmed the validity of Voter ID. This has been a great week. Enjoy your weekend and make sure you motivate your friends and associate to vote red in November, especially for Rick Caruso as mayor. Last election had an 18% turnout and the libs are claiming Karen Bass actually is leading. That's not good. Finally, if you haven't signed the petition to Recall George Gascon, please do so RIGHT NOW: https://www.recalldageorgegascon.com/ -- Rob Frankel Chief Curmudgeon

June Primary Ballots

Hi All, Just following up. Remember those who said they got a second mail-in ballot for the June Primary? Was it a real ballot or just more voting information? In the interest of confidence in our voting system, I think we need to know what happened with this. Thanks. Sheri

Meanwhile, in Arizona for your proof pleasure
From the Arizona Sun Times: https://arizonasuntimes.com/2022/06/11/maricopa-county-spokesperson-admits-20000-late-ballots-were-scanned-before-verification-expert-says-likely-a-crime/ In an email exchange with The Arizona Sun Times this week, a Maricopa County Recorder¡¯s office spokesperson may have unwittingly admitted that the county mishandled thousands of ballots from the 2020 general election that one watchdog groups says were accepted after the legal deadline. Megan Gilbertson, the communications director for the Maricopa County Elections Department (MCED) ¨C a department of the Maricopa County Recorder¡¯s Office ¨C said that the department processed ballots by scanning them into the tabulating machines at MCED before transferring their custody the next day to Runbeck Election Services, which verifies their legitimacy with signature verification. She stated, ¡°Due to the large volumes of early ballots received Election Day, we are scanning in early ballots received by 7 p.m. on Election Day well into the next morning, which is why a transfer of custody document would have a date after Election Day.¡± In an earlier email, Gilbertson noted that ¡°early ballot envelope signatures that are cured would also be tracked and scanned after Election Day until the curing deadline. None of these ballots would be marked as rejected, as they were all received by the Elections Department prior to 7 p.m. on Election Day.¡± Gilbertson added that although the receipts are dated after Election Day, the ballots weren¡¯t late because they were either cured ballots (Arizona law provides five days after an election to cure ballots) or took extra time to transport to Runbeck, their third-party private vendor, due to scanning them first at MCED. Maricopa County elections officials contracted with Runbeck Election Services, a Phoenix-based business founded in 1972 by Chuck Runbeck. According to the company¡¯s website, the firm specializes in ¡°customized election solutions, reaching more than 70 million voters¡± and touts its services ¡°are conducted from our state-of-the-art, secure facility ¨C designed specifically for the production of election-related materials.¡± The county contracted with Runbeck Election Services to provide signature verification for the ballot affidavits contained on the ballot envelopes. The ballot receipts, the county spokesperson said, are drawn up when MCED drops the ballots off with Runbeck for verification ¨C not when they come in from the United States Postal Service (USPS). She wrote, ¡°We have bipartisan staff that pick up envelopes from USPS. That staff delivers these envelopes, each with a unique intelligent barcode, to the Elections Department. The envelopes picked up from the post office are then delivered to Runbeck along with the early ballot affidavits dropped off at voting locations on Election Day.¡± The Sun Times asked Gilbertson to confirm her statement that ballots go directly from USPS to MCED first, then to Runbeck. ¡°Yes,¡± she answered. The Sun Times shared the information from Gilbertson with an Arizona election lawyer, who said that under the state¡¯s elections law, tabulating an unverified ballot is a crime. The attorney pointed to three separate provisions of Arizona state law. First, 16-550(A) of the Arizona Revised Statutes (ARS) states that the first action by elections officials upon the receipt of a ballot is to verify its authenticity by comparing the signature on the affidavit (on the envelope) to the corresponding signature in the county record. 16-550. Receipt of voter¡¯s ballot; cure period A. On receipt of the envelope containing the early ballot and the ballot affidavit, the county recorder or other officer in charge of elections shall compare the signatures thereon with the signature of the elector on the elector¡¯s registration record. If the signature is inconsistent with the elector¡¯s signature on the elector¡¯s registration record, the county recorder or other officer in charge of elections shall make reasonable efforts to contact the voter, advise the voter of the inconsistent signature and al

While the rich get richer.....the poor keep working
Many people don't seem to know how inflation is actually a "hidden tax." The simplest explanation is that if you create inflation, prices rise. When those prices rise, the taxes you pay on those prices doesn't have to rise. It just produces more revenue for the government. Ten percent of $2.00 is more than ten percent of $1.50. This is the way government can raise revenue and claim it hasn't raised taxes. When inflation doesn't occur through natural market dynamics, politicians create it. This is what we're living through now. Rich people aren't affected by inflation, because they have assets that appreciate. And let's face it, if you have six figure disposable income, an extra $25 to fill up is no big deal. The guy who is really feeling it is the guy with no assets who barely squeaked into a house out in San Bernardino and commutes 50 miles each way to work, five days a week. Enjoy your trip to the grocery store. -- Rob Frankel Chief Curmudgeon

Pacific Beach indictments
As you may or may not know, BLM and Antifa have long used social media to gather and attack various conservatives -- or so the story goes. Well, for those of you who insist on factual submissions, rest assured that those "stories" aren't fictional at all. At least according to a grand jury in San Diego, California. Now all that's left to see is if the prosecutors and judges will do their jobs: https://www.kusi.com/grand-jury-indicts-11-antifa-blm-members-for-attacking-trump-supporters-in-pacific-beach/ -- Rob Frankel Chief Curmudgeon

San Francisco dumps its Communist DA
7
Lots of good news from the elections last night: Caruso performed very strongly, leading all candidates. But the big news was in San Francisco, libtard capitol of the world, where their Communist/Terrorist District Attorney -- the guy whose parents literally killed working class people -- was handily thrown out of office by a margin of 60%+. "Progressives" all over the country are freaking out and rightfully so. If it can happen there, it can happen anywhere. And it will. Keep up the effort. Recruit your friends. Get out the vote. The work is not yet done. There's plenty more to win in November 2022 and 2024. -- Rob Frankel Chief Curmudgeon

So I just voted....
24
Following the sage advice from some of our members, I decided to visit the polling station and vote in person today. It was the first time in decades that I didn't vote absentee. I walked into the cafeteria at Valley College, where there must have been close to 50 voting machines but just a few people actually voting. Boy, a lot has changed since I last voted in a booth, and from what I could tell, not for the better. Not that I'm by any means an expert, but I spent a lot of my career nurturing high tech clients in Silicon Valley, so I have just enough knowledge about this stuff to be dangerous. Nevertheless, I can tell you without reservation that everything I observed merely confirmed the viability of every criminal voting theory I've ever heard. To begin with, it's clear the system was designed to foster the notion that we're still using "printed ballots." We're not. When you touch a screen, you're sending a digital signal that can be stored, transmitted, read, altered or eliminated by anyone along the way from vote cast to vote count. The "printed ballot" is nothing but a prop and that's all it is. The real data is code that gets zapped when you hit the "Cast your vote" button on the screen. That's the stuff that not only contains the votes' values, but also draws your votes so beautifully on the paper. It's also ingenious how the machine lets you inspect the printed piece of paper, but then insists that you feed it back into the machine so it can be tallied. That's just weird, because the digital information has already been trapped by the machine. There's no way anyone other than a highly-trained professional could tell what's being transmitted where, but I can tell you this much: People's phone were going off all over the place, which means the facility was not RF protected. And in this age of wireless transmissions, that lets you know that bluetooth modems could be sending anything, anywhere, into the center and out of it, at all times. Not exactly high security. In fact, most music concerts have more wireless blocking during the show. To cut a long story short, this didn't do much to instill much trust in the system. The game is rigged. We're going to have to do a major overhaul. -- Rob Frankel Chief Curmudgeon

VOTE SAFE IN 2022 - Make a difference
May 13, 2022 VOTE SAFE IN 2022 NOW IS THE TIME: STEP UP, STEP OUT, MAKE A DIFFERENCE Kudos and appreciation to those who were able to receive EIPCa Observer Training for the 2022 Primary. They will be key forces for election integrity. Extra Kudos and appreciation to those who have reached out to say they missed the training but are still eager to do what they can. GOOD NEWS: There is MUCH you can do as a CITIZEN OBSERVER: Read Vote Safe #4, #9 and #10. As you go to the polls to vote in person, look to see that regulations are being followed. If you see or experience any irregularities or concerns, download the Citizen Incident Statement and Instructions from www.eip-ca.com/incident.htm, fill it out and send it in as instructed. If there is something immediately concerning and serious, please send an email to corpoffice@... (cc to ruthweiss@...) with a description of what you have observed and a phone number we may use to reach you. Be detailed. Be as specific as you can with respect to what happened or is happening; provide us with the specifics of Who, What, When, Where and How. Take and send photos if safe, legal and appropriate. (It is NOT legal to photograph any person within 100 feet of the building where voting is occurring, or a drop box without the permission of that individual.) Limit your email to the above information. Leave emotions, opinions and diatribes for another time and place¡ªwe will be less effective in addressing situations if we have to sift through volumes of words to find the essence of a problem. We will reply by email to let you know we received your report, and will contact you for more details as soon as possible. Please be patient. California is a huge state and our hotline will be fielding reports from both citizens and EIPCa-trained observers around the state. Most counties have ballot drop boxes deployed throughout the county to accept completed vote by mail ballots beginning on May 9. They need citizen oversight. Adopt one or more drop box in your area. Check the activity around those boxes as often as you can. IMPORTANT NOTE: Electioneering (wearing campaign paraphernalia, handing out campaign literature, talking about politics, advising voters in any way) is NOT legal within 100 feet of a drop box. Dress neutrally and just watch. You may be near the box as long as there is no appearance of interference with voters submitting their ballots. Go at different times of the day and night. Check with the elections office in your county to find out the schedule for emptying the boxes you have ¡°adopted¡±. Try to be there at least once when boxes are being emptied. Look for: Is the area safe and secure? Is the area accessible? Is there surveillance? Is the box staffed by credentialed elections office employees? If so, are the ballots inspected for voter error and required signatures? Is the box securely sealed? Is anything other than ballots being inserted into the box? How often and securely is the box emptied? Is the box often over-stuffed? Are the ballots carefully and respectfully treated? Is there a 2-person chain of custody at all times? Is the transporting container locked/sealed for security? ON ELECTION NIGHT: is the box locked at EXACTLY 8:00 p.m.to prohibit further ballot drop-offs? If you see or experience any irregularities or concerns, download the Citizen Incident Statement and Instructions from www.eip-ca.com/incident.htm, fill it out and send it in as instructed. If there is something immediately concerning and serious, please send an email to corpoffice@... (cc to ruthweiss@...) with a description of what you have observed and a phone number we may use to reach you. Please follow the email guidance in section #1. Following proper procedures at closing time at a polling location is vital to integrity. California law allows citizens to be present and observe the closing activities. Adopt a polling location for each voting day - move around from day to day if possible. Arrive about 15 minutes before closing time. Look for: Are ballot numbers reconciled? Are ballots handled and secu
