Stop LA City Attorney from dismantling popular neighborhood program
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi All, ? I received this petition regarding the Neighborhood Prosecutor program. ? If you want to sign it and share it, please do. ? Sheri ? ALERT: Newly elected La City Attorney Hydee Feldstein Soto is eliminating the Neighborhood Prosecutor program! This move threatens public safety all over Los Angeles! Neighborhood Prosecutors serve as local problem solvers who interface directly with LAPD and crime victims. They are passionate advocates who combat the most destructive community crimes like drug sales, illegal dumping, graffiti, and more. By addressing such criminal activity before it mushrooms into more serious offenses, these vital public servants make the City of Los Angeles safer and improve quality of life.? We must act now before it is too late. We demand LA City Attorney keep the Neighborhood Prosecutor program in place. Please sign our petition to help make Los Angeles a safe place to live and work.? ? |

LA City Attorney
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi All, ? If you haven¡¯t voted yet, there is one election that people don¡¯t research and that is for LA City Attorney. ? I have spoken to many officers, and they support Hydee Feldstein Soto. Check out this link:? This is for Faisal Gill. You can also click on Hydee Feldstein Soto and read her info. The Los Angeles City Attorney plays a leading role in shaping the future of our city by fighting to improve the quality of life in our neighborhoods, reducing gang activity, preventing gun violence, standing up for consumers and the elderly, protecting our environment and so much more. The City Attorney's office writes every municipal law, advises the Mayor, City Council and all city departments and commissions, defends the city in litigation, brings forth lawsuits on behalf of the people and prosecutes misdemeanor crimes such as domestic violence, drunk driving and vandalism. This office strives every day to make Los Angeles a better and safer place to live, work, raise a family and visit.. Some of you know about Neighborhood Prosecutors that are assigned to each division to help our officers with the quality of life issues, party houses, squatters, etc. Apparently, Faisal Gill, a CRIMINAL DEFENSE AND CIVIL RIGHTS ATTORNEY, has said he plans on stopping all programs for 90 days for a ¡°reset¡±. ? He views the city attorney as a policy office, with the power to make decisions like whether to prosecute protesters or get rid of cash bail in the misdemeanor system. ? |

How to Watch LA Mayoral Debate With Karen Bass and Rick Caruso on NBC4 and Telemundo 52I'll try to stay with it, but the last time out, Caruso was a meek little milquetoast, a weak figure.? He could have destroyed Bass in the first five minutes of the debate, but cowed and simply pandered.? She opened with statements about how she has been working for the people since 1992.? Caruso should have pounced on that with a response like, "Folks, 30 years of trying with nothing to show for it is all that Karen Bass can offer you.? I've improved your neighborhoods and provided thousands of jobs -- and that's without holding public office." But Caruso, like so many others, is getting bad advice from overpaid, under-qualified consultants.? I voted for him, but I don't have much hope. ? -- ?
