We are getting duplicates, ballots for people that no longer live here and for those who have died because the state has not gone through the system to correct anything!!!

That is why it is vital that everyone who gets one of these ( or has ANY other issues now through election day ), to fill out the form below. I am active with EIPCa (Ethical Integrity Project California ) and we are making a difference. Every instance that is reported on these forms gets attention!)

Download a Citizen Incident Statement?. fill it out and send it immediately to EIPCa as directed.

Thank you!

Progressive Voter Guide Primary 2022

The June 7, 2022, California Primary Election is just around the corner. But you don¡¯t have to wait for election day to cast your ballot. In California, official vote by mail balloting material has been mailed out. Voters can cast ballots and submit them by mail immediately after receiving the ballot. Also, in person voting has been available since May 9 for several counties in the state of California, including Los Angeles.

In a press release published in February of this year, Shirley N. Weber announced the counties using the Voter¡¯s Choice Act. Said Weber, ¡°We are proud to announce that number of VCA counties will nearly double from the current 15 to a total of 28 counties statewide in 2022,¡± Secretary Weber said. ¡°As a part of California¡¯s efforts to provide eligible voters more convenience and flexibility, VCA counties will provide more opportunities to choose how, when and
where voters cast their ballots.¡±

VOTE SAFE IN 2022 - Make a difference

Bonnie Kurnick

?
May 13, 2022

VOTE SAFE IN 2022
?
NOW IS THE TIME:
STEP UP, STEP OUT, MAKE A DIFFERENCE
?
Kudos and appreciation to those who were able to receive EIPCa Observer Training for the 2022 Primary. They will be key forces for election integrity.
?
Extra Kudos and appreciation to those who have reached out to say they missed the training but are still eager to do what they can.
?
GOOD NEWS: There is MUCH you can do as a CITIZEN OBSERVER:
?
  1. Read Vote Safe #4, #9 and #10. As you go to the polls to vote in person, look to see that regulations are being followed. If you see or experience any irregularities or concerns, download the Citizen Incident Statement and Instructions from , fill it out and send it in as instructed.
?
If there is something immediately concerning and serious, please send an email to corpoffice@... (cc to ruthweiss@...) with a description of what you have observed and a phone number we may use to reach you.
?
  • Be detailed. Be as specific as you can with respect to what happened or is happening; provide us with the specifics of Who, What, When, Where and How. Take and send photos if safe, legal and appropriate. (It is NOT legal to photograph any person within 100 feet of the building where voting is occurring, or a drop box without the permission of that individual.)
?
  • Limit your email to the above information. Leave emotions, opinions and diatribes for another time and place¡ªwe will be less effective in addressing situations if we have to sift through volumes of words to find the essence of a problem.
?
  • We will reply by email to let you know we received your report, and will contact you for more details as soon as possible. Please be patient. California is a huge state and our hotline will be fielding reports from both citizens and EIPCa-trained observers around the state.
?
  1. Most counties have ballot drop boxes deployed throughout the county to accept completed vote by mail ballots beginning on May 9. They need citizen oversight.
?
Adopt one or more drop box in your area. Check the activity around those boxes as often as you can.
?
IMPORTANT NOTE: Electioneering (wearing campaign paraphernalia, handing out campaign literature, talking about politics, advising voters in any way) is NOT legal within 100 feet of a drop box.
?
  • Dress neutrally and just watch. You may be near the box as long as there is no appearance of interference with voters submitting their ballots.
?
  • Go at different times of the day and night.
?
  • Check with the elections office in your county to find out the schedule for emptying the boxes you have ¡°adopted¡±. Try to be there at least once when boxes are being emptied.
?
Look for:
  • Is the area safe and secure?
  • Is the area accessible?
  • Is there surveillance?
  • Is the box staffed by credentialed elections office employees?
    • If so, are the ballots inspected for voter error and required signatures?
  • Is the box securely sealed?
  • Is anything other than ballots being inserted into the box?
  • How often and securely is the box emptied?
    • Is the box often over-stuffed?
    • Are the ballots carefully and respectfully treated?
    • Is there a 2-person chain of custody at all times?
    • Is the transporting container locked/sealed for security?
    • ON ELECTION NIGHT: is the box locked at EXACTLY 8:00 p.m.to prohibit further ballot drop-offs?
?
If you see or experience any irregularities or concerns, download the Citizen Incident Statement and Instructions from , fill it out and send it in as instructed.
?
If there is something immediately concerning and serious, please send an email to corpoffice@... (cc to ruthweiss@...) with a description of what you have observed and a phone number we may use to reach you.?
?
  • Please follow the email guidance in section #1.
?
  1. Following proper procedures at closing time at a polling location is vital to integrity. California law allows citizens to be present and observe the closing activities.
?
Adopt a polling location for each voting day - move around from day to day if possible. Arrive about 15 minutes before closing time.
?
Look for:
  • Are ballot numbers reconciled?
  • Are ballots handled and secured with integrity?
  • Are machines properly closed down and numbers documented?
  • Do poll workers appear confident and competent?
?
When ballots are transported from the polling location, follow the transporting car (letting them know in advance that you will be doing so, not because you are suspicious but because you are involved and interested).
?
  • Verify that all ballots are transported with a TWO PERSON chain of custody with no stops to the assigned location.
?
If you see or experience any irregularities or concerns, download the Citizen Incident Statement and Instructions from , fill it out and send it in as instructed.
?
If there is something immediately concerning and serious, please send an email to? corpoffice@... (cc to ruthweiss@...) with a description of what you have observed and a phone number we may use to reach you.?
?
  • Please follow the email guidance in section #1.
?
  1. In most counties, voted ballots are transported from the polling location to a collection center nearby at the end of each voting day. The county elections office will arrange transport from that location to where counting will occur.
?
Citizen Observers can make a difference there too.
?
Adopt a collection center each day the vote centers or polls are open in your county.
?
Be there from the closing time of polls. Plan to stay 90-120 minutes.
?
Look for:
  • Are ballots handed off from the transporting vehicle to the officials at the collection center with secure chain of custody procedures?
?
  • Are the collected ballots stored securely?
?
  • Are ballots handed off to the next transporting team with secure chain of custody procedures?
?
  • Are ballots transported with two-person chain of custody to the elections office?
?
Voting is the way people in a Republic determine their own future.
Citizen oversight is the way to ensure that process is fair, honest and transparent.
?
While the act of voting should always be independent and private, protecting the process is something we can and should do together.
?
See you in the trenches. And don¡¯t forget to protect the integrity of your own vote by being a VIP ¨C Voter In Person.

Re: Biden giving US sovereignty to WHO

That¡¯s one of the concerns, actually. ?One of the changes they are voting on is to reduce the time frame from the initial vote to when it is implemented (or put in place permanently). This time frame is currently 18 months I believe during which time people can change their vote. ?They are shortening that to 6 months. ?Which means it would be implemented before any righting of the ship could happen.

Not too sure this will actually happen. Certainly not if we can right the ship in November.? If not, it's just adding fuel to the fire of eventual armed insurrection.

Re: Spotting the potentially fake absentee ballot

Bonnie Kurnick

That is 100% correct.....no more absentee ballots since they mail ballots to everyone. I just came from a training session with the Election Integrity Project California (EIPCa). Look them up....they are a fabulous organization doing such important work.

I had originally posted that it was a good idea to vote ON the day of the election.....that is no longer suggested. EIPCa recommends that we vote IN PERSON within the first couple of days that the polls open for EARLY voting. One of the main reasons is that it prevents someone else from voting in your name! It is recommended to take the ballot with you to the polling place but DO NOT USE THAT! Ask for a paper ballot instead which will allow you to vote on the machines. You do NOT need to give them the ballot you received in the mail. In fact, you should shred it when you get home. You are taking it along with you to prove that you have not already voted. If for some reason, they ask for that ballot (which they are not supposed to do ), then write on it in big letters VOID!

If you get to the polling location and they cannot find your name or say you have already voted and they want to give you a Provisional Ballot (big pink envelope they put your ballot in )......DO NOT LET THEM DO THIS!!!!! You are to insist they give you a regular paper ballot....they are required by law to do so!!

All early voting is from 9am-4pm......on the day of election they open earlier and close at 8pm.

If you want to help........there are drop boxes all over the city. They get collected at specific times and you can park yourself close by and make certain that whoever is picking up the ballots ( there must be 2 people doing this together ), are doing this according to the law. You are allowed to video/take pics/take down license numbers, etc. if you feel there is something wrong. You can sort of "adopt" a drop off ballot location and hang out randomly and ensure you do not see anything "funny" going on. You do not need to report that you want to do this....just go for it!? Let me know if there are any "issues".

Thank you all for caring......Bonnie?

I don¡¯t think CA has separate absentee ballots anymore now that they¡¯ve gone mail-in for everyone.

I checked my registration because I¡¯ve always done absentee. ?It now just says that I¡¯m setup for mail-in ballots for every election.
