This year's commemoration is a calculated to be an INTENTIONAL MISDIRECTION, to take away attention from the bungling of the Biden Administration over the past eight months.
The Late Rush Limbaugh had a term for this sort of calculated misdirection.? He called it "symbolism over substance."? While people may subjectively feel better by recalling the events, this year has become a publicity event for political opportunists.

I absolutely love Kevin Kiley and everything he's done, BUT he lost me with one remark in the first debate, when he said he would have the people of California?elect a new senator.? That told me he really didn't understand street fighting.? We simply cannot afford to lose a Senate majority with an?elected California senator.? The stakes are too high.
So I shifted to John Cox, who is indeed more of a businessman and displayed a lot of knowledge on a broad range of topics. He was endorsed by Trump in 2018.?
Kiley should remain as the governor's ally in the Assembly, where he does outstanding work.? He can also get good experience since he's still quite young.
Nobody wants Faulconer because he's an imbecile. Ose is out due to health, but he's endorsed Kiley.? Ric Grinell has told Faulconer to drop out, preferring Kiley.

Did anyone watch first the recall debate? It was Kiley, Ose, Cox and that idiot ex-mayor from San Diego.? Kiley, whose record and intentions are my preference, didn't come off as well as I'd hoped, speaking quickly and looking nervous, while Ose came off well as the wisened voice of common sense. However, I was impressed with John Cox, who was clear, concise and seemed very grounded.? I may throw my support there, depending on how the polls shape up. Neither Newsom nor Elder showed up -- very telling for both. --
