Agility Announcement

Hello All,

We have some exciting news! We have just received word that we will be welcoming a new group of agility trainers and students to Valley Dogs. The instructors from the Center at Animal Humane will transfer their training program here in early August. This will allow Valley Dogs the opportunity to provide more lessons, classes and drills! More details to follow, but for now, we extend a warm welcome to CAH Trainers - Kim, Linda, Susan, Ellen, Cindi, and Coleen and all of their students and dogs. As we embrace this new chapter, we continue to keep Evi’s vision and passion for dog training alive! ? ?

Monika, thanks for sharing this news with the Valley Dogs family. This is going to be a big change for everyone but I am excited to see the agility community thrive while keeping space for obedience and rally.

Yes, this is exciting news and it will be some adjusting to. One concern I see is parking space. Hopefully, we can trouble shoot ideas for parking management, especially on weekends.

Parking was one of my questions, too. Hopefully Tim will share with you what arrangement he has made with the Agility folks about scheduling.

Exciting news. Looking forward to using the field more. This is where Maya showed her enthusiasm for agility encouraging me to push forward in her training. And I’m happy to use a field more often for training that has different distractions which can help both maya and phoebe to learn how to overcome them.?

Parking may be a challenge but I’m hopeful that it will all work out. ?

It's really the perfect solution, and one that many of us hoped for from the start.

(Not for me; I can't drive the necessary roads due to my neurospicy status, but I knew the chances of things continuing in a space where I could take lessons was highly unlikely so I'm just glad things worked out so well otherwise.)

Am I understanding that we'll still be able to do obedience drills and "inside the building" activities?? I know the parking can be a concern.

That is wonderful news! Recently the drills have conflicted w other responsibilities I have and I couldn't attend so more drills will be wonderful! I so want to support Evi's legacy!!
