Looking for TWS/Gateway versions v965-970
|
I'm looking for old TWS or Gateway versions, between 965 and 970. I don't have copies of these on my computers, and they are not available on the web that I can find. Any help would be much appreciated.
Background: I'm a Financial Advisor. We use Models to invest for clients. Sometime between v963 and v971, IB stopped supporting forex trades for Models. We need that functionality since we own/trade some foreign stocks that trade in foreign currencies in our Models. I was using API v963, but?v963 (and v964) no longer work: upon login, they exit with an error about the version no longer being supported. The next version I have access to, v971, does not support forex trades for Models. So I would like to test copies of v965-970 to see if they are still supported by IB and if they allow forex trading in Models. If anyone has any knowledge about forex trading in Models (why was this featuer removed? is there any roadmap to restore it?), or even how to continue using v963 despite the no-longer-supported error, I would appreciate that as well. 开云体育Francois ? What are you thinking?! ? This file is huge, far too big to include as an attachment. There is only 1Gb of space for all attachments, images etc. You’re using up a sizeable percentage of that with just one item! ? Just going to beg again for some assistance here -- I really need this. I have Models with foreign currency in them and I can't even zero out the foreign currency. I don't want to just close the Models because I have four years of trading history in them.?
If you have a copy of the installer, that would be ideal. If you have one of these Gateway versions installed on your computer but don't have the installer itself, please send me a direct message, hopefully we can figure out a way for you to send me the install directory itself. Thanks so much. |

Thank you all so much for the assistance, I really appreciate it, but it is in fact TWS/Gateway that I need.? Explanation: You can place a forex trade in a Model via any API version. However, the TWS/Gateway software itself restricts forex trades in Models after Gateway v971. That is, if you place a forex Model trade via the API, an error is returned with a message like, "Trading USD.CAD Forex for a Model is not supported." Thanks again everyone. I tried TWS v968.2e from Richard and unfortunately I am getting the "this version is no longer supported" error on that as well.?
I realized I should test my install of Gateway v971... anddd that is no longer supported either. Gateway v972 still works.?Thus I must conclude that all Gateway and TWS versions <v972 cannot be used anymore. Please let me know if you are still able to login using any versions <v972, or if you know a way around the "this version is no longer supported" error, etc. Thanks again for all the help.
