But as one of you said, a 6 month (or more) POC/paper test is necessary to get it through different markets.

Gordon Eldest All Messages By This Member #46301 When you go for a "real" account you always have access also to Paper account, working as does your real account (Time and speed) You can run Real/Paper simultaneously and TWS allow to keep your connection "Read Only" which is a good first step going to real You need to put some money to open a real account, it's an investment, not a cost. Aside of monthly fee for feeds and exchange (also you may need to subscribe to "Boost" to get more data) think about ~100 if you do NOT make any real trade (Trade cost is bonifying your monthly fix fee: voiding most of it if you trade a little) Nothing will prevent you of closing it in couple of months. (But could be good to know why you feel you need to close it, I wonder :-)? ) ? Advice: You need to put 25K USD, to avoid the "Pattern Day Trading detected" 'error' (That's not an IB limitation, it's the law, ~not more than one trade/ticker a day if < 25K US) Because one way or another you will enter real trading, so be prepared and enjoy the thrill switching from Paper to Real! ?
