Looks like nobody have a straight answer. So I share my opinion:

I don't see any part of the API aimed at delivering any data close to analysis, or indicators, information, (any outcome of a massage of data in general)
I guess you have to implement your own,you may get slightly different results than IB , my limited experience with IB make me wonder that IB may have access to higher precision data than what they deliver.
