Toyota Rouge 1986

Hi Group,

We looked at a 1986 Toyota Rouge today with 60K miles, 4 cyl. gl eng, auto
trans, overdrive, cc, tv antenna, roof/dash ac, awning, ladder & rack, new
tires & batt, very good interior, rear bath, 23 foot, factory 1 ton chassis. It
seems to run good. The only thing it didn't have was a generator. The list
price is $7500. Does this sound good?

Interestingly, when I searched the archives for this list, I didn't find anything
posted about a Toyota Rouge. Also when I searched through many search
engines on the net, I couldn't find anything either. I was looking for a
comparison price since I'm not sure what the depreciation has been on the
model and what I can expect if I hold it for two years and sell.

Any info is most appreciated!

Regards,
Nina

Hi Nina,

Probably the reason that you can't find anything in the archives is
the spelling. The proper spelling is Rogue, and there are
several posts.

Regarding pricing, you can find "Blue Book" prices (guidelines)
at www.nadaguides.com. I just looked up the Rogue for 1986
and is shows between $6800 and $8300 for that mileage (low),
so $7500 is about right. According to them the Rogues were
only made in 1986 and 87.

Once you're sure you like the floorplan, be sure to test the
various systems, especially the ones that are expensive to fix,
like the A/C and Fridge.

What city was the Rogue in by the way?

Tika

Nina.

All of these Micro-Mini Mhos are much the same regardless
of the Mfg. All the units are on Toyota Chassis (at least
on this list) and the faults and merits of this chassis
apply to all.

Read all of the Archives before you go out to look. And
most certainly do your home work before you buy.
