I live in central California and currently pay 2.08 (92 oct).
Traveled to Clearlake Ca.( it's above the Ca.wine country)last Sat,
the gas prices were very high in the Napa Valley 2.18 - 2.25. We got
great gas mileage on the return trip (downhill)15-16 mpg which seems
to be about the best my 87 Dolphin with o/d can offer. I've been
reading the suggestions on fuel economy and will be trying a couple
of things.
The trip was my first since the tranny was rebuilt. What a champ,
we love the Dolphin! We stayed right next to the lake and since
it's off season we just about had the place to ourselves.
Planning a trip down the Big Sur coast line in two weeks.
The weather in this part of California is beautiful 75 low 80's.
It's hard to stay home!!!!
