Hi Everyone,
Thanks to the folks who commented about the mph and wind resistance. It looks like the idea is to travel slower and see the landscape. Actually this unit was probably manufactured when the national speed limit was 55 mph. We New Mexicans are a fast bunch with the speed limit on I-25 being 75 mph! (I usually drive 80 mph!) I will need to be careful driving in the Southwest since we "can" have quite a bit of windy weather. The door is on the back of the unit and I'm wondering how to attach hardware so that I can carry my bicycle. I thought of just putting it inside (which I'll do for now since I'm planning on traveling to Tucson at the end of the week), but wanted to put it on the back for the long trips. I'm also trying to figure out how to get "online" when I travel. I have a laptop and a cell phone that has an option for connecting my ISP. However, the connection is s-l-o-w and connects at 19.9. This wouldn't be good for "surfing", but I could at least download my messages and work "offline". The only thing that is missing is a "dog" to travel with. I had a beautiful small (35 lbs.) black chow-chow that finally lost her battle with kidney disease just before Christmas. She was only five and a wonderful traveling companion! Sorry to "rub it in", but the weather here was 80 degrees, sunny, and beautiful. "Zia" |

739 The rack will hold 2 bikes and looks like it would attach to the square rear bumper. Looks like it can easily be removed so you can enter the rear door. The cost is about $36. A rack like this may be available at an RV supply store. Tom Calvert --- In toyota-campers@y..., ziawoman@y... wrote:
