1991 Toyhouse V6 max (redline) RPM

For some reason I can't find an authoritative source for the redline RPM in our V6 toyhouses.? I've seen everything from 6000 to 7500.? What is it really, and where can I find an authoritative source?? My owner's manual is no help.

Hello Eric,

For the Toyota 3.0 V6 the redline would not ever be 7500 RPM. It could be 5500 or 6000 but there would be no benefit to revving it that high. Probably 4500 RPM is the most you'll ever need.

The stock redline is 6600. The ECU ,fuel cuts out at 7200. You do have a redline limiter that should cut in at 6250 to warn you your being stupid

Thanks, Aaron.? I just need to know what the official factory-supported redline RPM is.? I don't ever intend to run it that high.? My winter project is to add some gauges on the left A pillar and I need to know what range of RPM gauge to buy.? GlowShift is my first choice for gauges but they only have 10,000-RPM gauges in 2" size for gas engines (lower range for diesel engines), and it seems rather silly to have a 10,000 RPM gauge if redline is only 6000.? Plus it just seems like one of those things a toyhouse owner should know or be able to find.? Hard to believe they don't document it in the Toyota owner's manual.
