That probably explains why you had the screen filled with code after uploading was complete.? I've never had an issue using the tinySA-App firmware uploader with .dfu files.
? The tinySA-App firmware uploader open file dialog should probably limit selection of files to .dfu to prevent the type of error you encountered.
