My photographic skills are next to nil, but for the group I would like to present my "un-boxing" impression of a pre-production tinySA.
1. Hugen has been producing products for a while now and one of the ways he has set himself apart from other OEM's is with his distinctive packaging.? Fly by night cloners don't want to spend extra money reproducing hugen's custom packaging, so it helps buyers to distinguish hugen's original products from reproductions.? The? tinySA came in a 7.5" x 5" black box.? The box has a "brushed" feel to it and has a distinctive gold logo and gold lettering printed on top. If you've purchased a NanoVNA-H4 or NanoVNA-H 3.4 from hugen then you are familiar with this style package.

2. Inside the box is the tinySA with accessories.? There are molded compartments for the tinySA and all of the accessories.? There was no documentation or the Menu Structure Map that hugen usually includes with the NanoVNA. I expect by the second production run a Menu Map will make an appearance.? There is a sticker on the inside that directs the consumer to http://tinysa.org/? which re-directs to the more useful tinySA Wiki page.
? The front panel of the tinySA has the same distinctive logo as printed on the outside of the box.? Both HIGH and LOW ports are labeled and also have bi-directional arrows indicating the input/output functionality of each port. Unlike the NanoVNA, I have no complaints with the multifunction switch on top of the tinySA.? It seems more responsive than the same switch on the NanoVNA.? I even prefer it to the push buttons on the S-A-A-V2 because of my fat fingers.

3. The included accessories are:? a.) Internal battery (1950mAh??);? ?b.) one USB-C to USB-A cable;? c.) two 8.5" rg-174?? cables;? d.) one sma bullet adapter;? ?e.) one 12" telescoping antenna;? and? ?f.)? one wrist lanyard/guitar pick stylus.
? ? Sorry about the non-metric measurements, at my age its too late to learn new tricks.

4. The telescoping antenna is a thoughtful inclusion.? It allows beginners to use the tinySA by exploring the FM band and other radio bands without purchasing additional accessories.? It is also useful for sniffing out sources of EME in the shack.

?
5. The rear of the tinySA has appropriate product information including: Frequency range, power specification, hardware version and serial number.

? My overall impression of the tinySA "un-boxing" experience was very positive.? It gave me a good feeling about the tinySA even before turning it on.? Erik and hugen did drop the ball and let the packaging be an after thought.
