TinySA Ultra Menu Chart/Tree

I was unable to find a menu flowchart or tree for the TinySA Ultra so I've started making one using Visio that can be updated as the menu selections/options change.? The attached image is a sample of the first level branching based on the latest firmware update.? Each of the second-level menu screens will then have their own page in my Visio project showing the branching from each of their selection buttons.

Before continuing this little project of mine (and reinventing the wheel) I'd like to find out if someone has already done this in a fashion that is easy to update as firmware changes affect the menu selections.

That looks so nice. Would it be possible for you to create a PDF version?

As requested by Roy, attached is a PDF of the first page of the Visio file.? I'm glad to hear my efforts to do this will be useful to others :-)
As I add the additional menu levels I'll post the Visio file and the PDF created from the Visio file.

If Erik could make a note in his update notices that a menu has changed, that would be great so I can make the changes in my Visio drawing without having to recheck every possible menu selection for changes.

Now I've got something to keep me busy besides my off and on contract work for a former customer of my last employer who retired and closed shop almost four years ago.

excellent, keep it going, thank you, its great

As a Mac user, what file type is: ?vsdx ? ?I tried BBEdit to no avail. ?Tried the App Store to no avail.

Thanks, ? ? ? ? ?larry

.vsdx is the file extension for Visio, a Microsoft Windows program that is related to the Microsoft Office but sold as a separate program.
There are a few ways to view a Visio file on a Mac.

Hope this helps!? I'll post PDF versions along with the VSDX versions with my updates.

Thanks!

And it will be very difficult to keep it current at Eric's pace! And that pace is one of the BEST features of the tinySA and the Ultra!!

Will you be posting this also in the Files section of this group (perhaps you did already, my quick scan didn’t see it). ?Thanks!

Good suggestion; I will do that (both as a Visio file and PDF file).? I'll be working on the second level menus this weekend and will put that in the files section.? My wife keeps saying, "are you still working on that drawing?" but she doesn't understand that it is an ongoing project that is barely off the ground LOL!

Thank you so much. I'm going to experiment with sizing it down. Probably not much with my old eyes and then laminate it!

That's a native Microsoft VISIO file format.? You can open/edit using Draw.? I just did on this Linux machine and there are versions of LO for Mac and Windows, too.? I expect Apache OpenOffice will also work but I haven't tried that yet.? Open/LibreOffice are MSOffice compatible office suites available as freeware.

It can also be viewed online and downloaded in different formats.?

Hi Roy,

I tried to use a larger font but it won't fit in the rectangle buttons and I didn't want to make the paper size 11" x 17".? I have the Visio page type set up as landscape / letter-size (8.5" x 11") which is a USA standard but if someone in Europe has Visio they could resize it for the Euro standard paper size.

And yes, it seems like everything I do in my old age requires a magnifying glass or wear my glasses!? It's a curse of getting old :-)

11X17 would be great, only because my printer can do that
size.

But I can take the 8.5X11 and size it for the 11X17.

All I need to do is find a copy I can download. Where is it
located ?

Just uploaded both the Visio and PDF files to the file section.? File names are Visio-MENU CHART.pdf and MENU CHART.vsdx. Note that only the first two pages are complete.? Remaining pages are to be ignored for now until I get time to work on them.

Started printing in1X17 only to see in 1" Red Type ..."DO NOT
USE THIS PAGE YET"... ????

Glad I could stop printing at page 4, saved me printing 10 pages
of scrap paper.

Let us know when it's ready for prime time.

When printing, do a print view first to see what it will look like. That way can ID the pages you want to print and tell the printer to only print those pages not wasting paper.?

Don.? K5ZRQ?

Hi Dick,

As I mentioned in my earlier post, only the first two pages are complete but wanted to get some feedback before I spend a lot of time on the remaining pages.? It's no where near ready for Prime Time yet LOL!
