New FW releaseErik, ? ?I've been doing my frequency correction at 1GHz and entering the correction in ppb.? Does the new k and M modifiers mean the frequency offset is now entered in +/- Hz?? 开云体育Hi Erik Besides comment from Herm there is no longer possibility to enter negative values and above 5.34GHz calibration now produces error messages as of too low level or incorrect frequency Kind regards Kurt ? And therein lies a problem for Erik who tries to satisfy everyone....perhaps the EU/UK do not want to see the expanded US bands. On Thu, 30 Mar 2023, 4:18 pm Terry Perdue, <K8tp@...> wrote:

Perhaps we don't want to see theirs. These are not just used in the European market or counties. I am sure Erik does not want to lose the US and other countries just because someone in? Europe might not want to see the US ham bands. Get real, you do not have a monopoly on test equipment.? Just my 2 cents, and dam proud to be a US Ham. Clyde Lambert KC7BJE? There will be one table with 20 or more entries you can define to have any band definitions you like
And if I'm in a good mood you wil also be able to define the color per band.
Anyone interested in learning the tinySA software? This is a good task to start learning -- For more info on the tinySA go to https://tinysa.org/wiki/

开云体育Since the U.S. allocations are wider than those in other countries, those wider allocations encompass everyone and should be the default. (The SARK-110 has a similar ham band highlighting feature called BAND PLAN, with a submenu choice of Region.)On Mar 30, 2023, at 11:53 AM, DAVE REISER WA3TRS <DAVEREISER@...> wrote:

开云体育Erik -I’m sure no one wants to put you in a bad mood! You’ve been extremely accommodating, fixing ‘bugs’ and adding requested features that many of us won’t even ?use. Your support of this community goes above and beyond. But I know it has to stop somewhere, even if the ROM isn’t full yet. ;-) I don’t think there’s any need to allow additional menu choices for HAM BAND color. If someone can’t see gray, then they can use a terminal command. But the band allocations should be selectable from a menu, if not simply expanded to encompass everyone. You must be burned out on this product, and I’m sure Kurt would like to finalize his documentation too. My opinion, and worth just what you paid for it… Terry On Mar 30, 2023, at 12:16 PM, Erik Kaashoek <erik@...> wrote:

? ?Erik's previous reply that he will be providing an editable table that will allow the user to define their own band allocations seems flexible enough to satisfy all users.? Any knowledgeable ham should be able to look up and enter the specific bands for his or her country.? It also heads off any "me too" requests for aircraft, space, and regulatory bands. ? Herb |
开云体育That’s a good point, although I think the majority of users are hams, and a good portion of those are in the U.S. If it ends up being a table that’s editable from the device itself, that should satisfy everyone. On Mar 30, 2023, at 2:03 PM, hwalker <herbwalker2476@...> wrote:

Didn't Erik already say (yesterday or day before?) that it would be configurable?
