Having to replace internal LiPo battery...

George Dukish

What is the battery plug JST pitch in mm needed to match TinySA board connector? (1.25 or 1.50mm)

Good question...
Pretty sure the connector pitch is 1.25mm. But actually I do not think it is a connector of an original JST series (at least I haven't found a similar genuine one)?!
But if you're googling "JST 1.25mm" you'll find something that looks very close...
Examples:
The one on the board (SMD Header)
?("Horizontal SMD", "2P")

The one on the cable (Housing)
?("JST 1.25mm, "50pcs 2P")

Pretty sure they are the right ones (but of course no guarantee)?

The battery is of the type: 602540, 3.7V, 650mAh

Thank you for your time.

I had figured out the sizes 6mm height x 25mm wide x 40mm long 3.7v@650 mAh capacity. It is next to impossible to find said size with the same JST plug to fit TinySA on-board connector. I am now thinking of using the original JST wire/plug, from old battery, to fit a new 1000mAh over sized battery to mount on back shell to extend run time. Again, thank you for your reply.

The battery power does not matter, you can use any 3.7V LiPo battery as the charger will limit the load current and never overload a LiPo.
Make sure there is a protection circuit on the battery to prevent fatal discharging.

Thanks for the complement, George. As a COTR (contracting officers' technical representative) "finding" stuff was my job. Now 18 years retired, finding stuff is still fun, bring it on.
