Failing Self Test after v1.4-159 upgrade #firmware_update #tinysa #ultra

Hi,

I've just updated firmware to v1.4-159 on both my tinySA and my Ultra and both failed self test after that.

TinySA reported "Test 7: StopBand Critical"

Ultra failed both Test 10 and 14, both reporting "Signal Level Fail"

Both units were tested using the longer ALSR-100 cable provided with the Ultra version.
I have also tried connecting both together, outputting a 300MHz, -5dBm signal from the tinySA and reading it at around -6,6dBm on the Ultra (wich seems about correct to me), when I tried doing this with the shorter cables (the one that came with the tinySA) the Ultra read -9.0dBm

Both units should be genuine as they were bought from Eleshop.eu following link from the wiki
tinySA was bought in May 2022, HW version: V0.3.1_EL
Ultra was bought in Dec 2022, HW version: V0.4.5.1

Have I broken something or missed some step?

Thanks!

This is not a fail but a "critical" which can be ignored.

This is a possible LNA failure.
Restart, Connect in selftest configuration, enable the 30 MHz cal output and enable the LNA and post a photo or capture of the screen

Hi Luca,

Did you do a Clear Config then a Calibration before the Self Test?

Yes, on both devices

Seems the LNA is no longer functioning.

And what LNA is used in TinySA Ultra? It seems mine is also out of order. It does not pass tests 10 and 14.
