...from R&L, I also never saw a shipping notice. Timing was perfect. My mail carrier was running a little late today. As I got home from work and walked out on my porch to check my mail I saw the mail carrier in front of the neighbor's house. I patiently waited until I saw the carrier sort through his letters and pull out a small white box before he approached my house. YES! A box from R&L. Santa wears a USPS uniform! I thanked him profusely. This is prime porch pirate season so I was a bit paranoid.
Works fine, passes all self tests. I upgraded the firmware and have been playing a little. That 4" screen is a beautiful thing.
I did note that the LCD moved around if I tapped the edges of the case. This is turning into a QC issue. I investigated and found that the LCD DOES have two adhesive strips, at the top and bottom edges. They were not adhered to the board. I have seen this in my own work place. I may be that the hurried assembler is not applying needed pressure to seat the adhesive after setting the part in place. I was able to get it to stick in place by gently applying pressure to the top and bottom edges of the LCD. Emphasis on GENTLY. We'll see if it holds.
