Hi Erik,

As a follow up to a recent discussion about zero span mode, it would be very handy to have a trigger option that provides a trigger that occurs at a regular set interval that's user adjustable.? This feature would be similar to an oscilloscope where you can trigger based on line frequency (50 or 60 Hz) as an example.? I would call this something like an "Interval" trigger option, and then if we could manually set the interval trigger time that would be fantastic.? For people dealing with 60 Hz power an interval trigger time of 16.67 msec, 33.33msec, 50 msec , 66.67msec, etc. would be the type of times we would need to enter.? The interval time does not need to be short like 1/60 = 16.67msec it just needs to be a multiple of 1/60 for users of 60 Hz power or a? multiple of 1/50 for users of 50 Hz power.

This feature would be very handy for folks using the TinySA or TinySA Ultra for tracking down power line noise and it would be used when using the zero span mode.

Don,
I guess it should be in the trigger menu where you additionally can select a repetitive trigger at a certain interval.
Not sure if there are any HW timers left to enforce consistent timing.
Will check.

Hi Erik,

Thank you very much for looking into this. ?This would be a fantastic option if possible.

Thanks,

In the current version, touching the scale, attenuation, spur, RBW, VBW, scan time icons in the left column directly calls the corresponding submenus. It would be great if touching the frequency display area at the bottom of the screen directly called the FREQUENCY submenu. Applies to both models.

Ctoyan,
Currently, it is already implemented that touching?left and right (where the current start and stop or center and span frequencies are indicated) calls the submenus to change them. Perhaps you wanted to indicate that touching in the center (where the frec/ is indicated), will call the FREQUENCY submenu. That would be an improvement.

Toni

Hello Erik.

Very nice additions in every new version, thanks!

Can you please make the 'preset' > 'store'?? show the frequencies already filling the slots (and not only store1 to store4).
It helps in populating the store command with info of where you want to put new preset frequencies...
TIA?????? Joe.

Toni,

Thank you for explanation, but I can't find area, where I must touch for calling the FREQ submenu or the submenus to change them.?
I mean area in the red rectangle on screenshot below. I touched it all by stylus, but this calls? previously used menu
only. FW 1-4-32 on both models. Could you point me to area for calling FREQ submenu please?

Thanks,

On some Ultra's the bottom region for touching the frequency is too small and it won't work
Next FW update will have an enlarged area

Erik, Thank you!

Erik,

After repeated very careful calibration of the touchpad with a sharp toothpick (and glasses), everything worked as it should. My carelessness with previous touch calibrations is to blame, there are no complaints against you.

Thanks,

Ctoyan, I don't have the Ultra yet and could not check it there.

You can toggle the selections between Start/Stop and Center/Span by touching in the empty area. As already mentioned the hot spots are hard to find and I can rarely do it twice in a row but am thankful that Erik has promised improvement in the next firmware.

Toni, thank you.
As I have already written above, if touch calibration was not performed accurately enough, calling from these areas may become impossible. That's what happened with me. Everything is working now, very convenient. Now I will remember for the future, to perform this calibration with something sharp and very, very carefully.
And I agree with you and join the request about the green zone.

Hello Erik,

A wish for a tinySA3 - will it be possible to separate the correction tables for the reception and generation modes?
For example, add a table "correction low_out", and align the output to it?

With best regards,

What error in the output levels versus frequency did you observe?

@-25dBm:

Freq.??? Level, dBm relatively 30M
10k?????? +6.6
100k???? +1.8 ??
200k???? +1.5
500k???? +2
30M ? ???? 0
140M???? +0.4
200M???? +0.8
300M???? +0.3
330M???? +1.1
350M???? +1.2

With best regards,

Input levels are +/- 0.5 dBm relatively 30 M for all that freq, 10k including.

WIll have a look if this will fit in available memory.
The functionality is already implemented for the tinySA Ultra
