Unable to get Listen to work on Ultra

No matter what headphone I try the audio output remains silent. I have tried partial insertion, everything to no avail. I have a marker on the center of a local FM station. Is there something I am missing here?

Also I noticed that often the sweep stops when I check the listen box but restarting the sweep makes no difference. I can set the span to 0 and see the audio so I know that is working with plenty of amplitude.

This is a brand new unit I bought directly from the official store so I know it in not a clone. I received it a few days ago,

Thanks for you help.

Sam,

The Listen function works only for AM modulation signals not for FM.

As stated in the wiki the tinySA can only do AM detection, to hear FM stations you need to use "slope" detection.
This is what I do to listen to the FM broadcast band.
Attach telescopic antenna
Plug in sensitive headphone
Set start to 85MHz
Set stop to 105MHz
Enable LNA
See all the FM stations appear

?Set RBW to 100kHz
Enable LEVEL/LISTEN
Grab the marker and move on the side of the FM signal (as shown above)
Now you may hear the FM station
For sure you will hear noise

For narrow FM band you can set RBW to 30 kHz.

Note that if you load another preset, although the "listen" option is still shown as enabled, it doesn't appear to be. I had to toggle it off and then back on again for it to work.

RBW set to 100kHz and FM sounds great. 30 was not good.

Detecting FM stations with a RBW set to 100kHz and the LNA on worked for me, not exactly HiFi-reception but OK. I had to fiddle a bit with the 3.5mm jack of my headphone to get sound. Is it possible to adjust the volume?

No. There is an AGC on the audio trying to get the maximum audio out.
Choose sensitive headphones?
