5.8GHz wideband video signal measurements

It seems that the problem that was causing the 404 error, reported by me and other users, is fixed. I can now access the page for all products, tinySA Ultra+ and the various additional external LNAs ...

Hi Hai,
?
RF signal sent from source/point A1.
At one of destinations(e.g. B1) RF signal received.

?
Directional antenna (point C1/ connected to tinySA Ultra) is directed to specific direction ==> that antenna observe signals which are mostly coming from that direction.
?
Is it Triangle form of positions A1 B1 C1? Which type of antenna are used at point A1 and point B1?
?
That is all I can reply to you, for other explanation you should ask someone else (or someone who has HW visible in mentioned YouTube video).

Hi Toni,
?
It seems that the tinySA just can capture the signal from the drone streaming videos to the remote control. Do you think the tinySA can capture the behavior of pressing some buttons from the remote control? From the video it seems that these signals are too low to be observed, right?
?
Regards,?
Hai

Hi Hai,
It is not my video: I found it by searching youtube.
Just by visual from video, I think that I saw it could be bought online /ebay/amazon etc.
By searching/reading recent posts/ "cca. last 30 days" from this group, you could find pictures/ links/where to buy maybe even "stronger" directional antennas which could have longer range but keep in mind if you will use such "stronger/more 'dbi's? " antennas that you should protect TinySA with attenuators because such antennas will send more 'dBm's/power to TinySA input.
?

Toni

Hi Toni,
?
Your video is really interesting. May I know what type of antenna you're using? It looks handmade. I don't have much knowledge about antennas, but theoretically, if I have an antenna similar to the one used by the drone, could the tinySA still detect the signal at the same distance the drone operates? What antenna specifications should I focus on if I want to detect a drone from as far away as possible using the tinySA? Thank you.
?
Best regards,
Hai

In my case I never had a problem with the shipment to Italy of the dozens of items that I bought on Aliexpress.
?
Also consider that I bought the TinySA Ultra from Zeenko store on Aliexpress in May 2023 without any problem during the order process ...
?
The problem I described above appeared a few days after Hugen's post 17933, before that I could see the LNA page ...

quite strange Hugen as I regularly buy electronic stuff from Aliexpress!

The two LNAs are visible on the Zeenko Store Aliexpress home page, but when I click on them, the error message visible in the image below appears:

The links are no longer working in my case.
?
Being an official accessory made by the factory that produces the TinySA Ultra, perhaps the announcement of availability would have deserved a separate topic dedicated to these new products ...

Should the LNA integrated in the TinySA Ultra be disabled or does the effect of the external one add to the former ?
The internal LNA should be disabled, otherwise you have a risk of overloading.
The gain of the ZK-06 is fairly flat above 1 GHz so setting an EXT GAIN of 22 dB should give you accurate (+/- 2dB) power readings up to 6 GHz

The LNA integrated in the TinySA Ultra is effective below 3.5 GHz, and you can use the ZK06 LNA to improve sensitivity above 3.5 GHz.?
It will be available for sale on Zeenko's Aliexpress soon.
