Locked A new version of the Ultra spectrum analyzer ?
Hello,
?
I have seen a proposal for a? spectrum analyzer called SA5 on the Banggood web site (french version). Looking at the features show that it sounds as an Ultra SA (or not). It is sold on the brand? PORTXVNSA, which is strange.

A technical guide is also provided (see enclosed file)

I am rather surprised not seeing any announcement from Erik, nor an availability on the Zeenko store. I am rather convinced that it is a new clone in a new case. So wait and see what Erik and Hugen will tell us about this proposal.

be nice if the input more indestructible, I like my tinySA but have anxiety.?? LOL I'd like my test equipment to survive my mistakes. I don't want a clone, but more features, tougher, repairable ?? I'm listening. On 9/24/24 3:50 AM, Jean-Roger - F6EGK via groups.io wrote:

I see it also lacks reference to the tinysa.org page and the scan code.? Its likely that saying their statement, "designed by ERIK in Netherlands", to too vague to have any legal clout, but still is misleading enough to hook someone in.? Wasn't there a prior discussion that its an Open Source hardware design?? Clone or copy??? ?The real questions I would ask is how it functions and/or is it compatible with firmware updates.? ?If its a POS I wouldn't want my name (or alias) associated with it.
