So low IF is fed to DAC and then filtering is done digitally. And as nice side effect RBW also depends on FFT size.

Does this make sense to improve scanning speed - SI4468 is replaced with down-converting mixer, IF of this mixer output is fed to STM32 ADC (with 14 or 16 bind resolution), filtering and FFT is done in STM32???

Erik hi.
Zeenko replied that they do not send to the Russian Federation for political reasons. It is a pity that the Russian market is large and people will buy everything anyway, this is bad because they will support the pirate market in China. I am against copyright infringement, people spent money, effort and nerves on developing the device.

Erik Please tell me, does the generator accuracy depend on the frequency? Will one calibration be enough, or do I need to do it by calibration points?

If you are not confident in your oscilloscope, then you can still calibrate this way, don’t scold me too much, I did the description through a translator.

Calibration of the generator can be done by comparison.

We will need ATT -10dBm, RTL-SDR, SATSAGEN program.

The RTL-SDR has an output of +4.5 volts, so we use whatever ATT is available.
Connect the high output to the RTL-SDR input via ATT.
Enable tinySA CAL OUTPUT at 30 MHz and set it to HIGH INPUT mode to avoid interference from the high connector. The calibration output will provide an accurate -36 dBm signal.
Now connect the RTL-SDR to the tinySA's low output and set the tinySA to LOW OUTPUT mode, 30 MHz and level - 36 dBm. use R TL-SDR,
we have a difference of 1.5 dBm, we connect to tinySA via USB and enter the command
leveloffset low output -1.5
saveconfig 1234
to change the output level settings and save the data so that it remains after a reset.

Both tinySA are officially specified down to 100 kHz
In practice the tinySA Basic will measure levels correctly down to 10 KHz and the Ultra down to 50 kHz?
Be aware the dynamic range is reduced at such low frequencies.

oscilloscope is not a slander, you shouldn't trust the readings of a budget hantek, how can you get by with little bloodshed to check the generator level compliance? purchase on aliexpress from zeenko store where I used to buy my tinysa is no longer available, where can I buy the original?


Stops scanning after enabling/disabling BIG NUMBERS #bug_report

 

The trace stops showing signals when I do this: Turn on DISPLAY > BIG NUMBER, and then right after that turn off DISPLAY > BIG NUMBER.
Sometimes its needed to toggle few times for the spectrum signals to reappear.
Reset does not help.

Don't forget that dB's are logarithmic.
Going from +10 to -40dBm is not changing by a factor of 50, rather by a factor of 100,000!

As has been said you are very unlikely to damage a TinySA in storage, particularly without an aerial!..

My concern was about values well below the "Max input level" of +10dBm, but constant over time, even when the device is turned off.
