SX1261 as a platform

Has anyone of you had a look at this chip from semtech? Since Si4432 has become obsolete I browsed for a chip that can take its place as a platform for RF tools. It has continous frequency span from 150MHz to 960MHz and comparable phase noise as Si4432 with the disclaimer that it is frequency dependant. For me, fast sweep time is beneficial as I often scan wide chunks of spectrum and this chip have a pll settling time of 30us. It’s quite good , is it? Have I missed something that makes this chip a dead end to persue further? ? ?

Re: TinySA calibration and level check with sma cable or both cables?

Erik, while I have you on the phone, can you tell me the pitch of the JST plug, that the 602540 LiPo battery has within the unit, as I have to replace mine for not holding a charge anymore? I charged said battery out of the unit and load tested it to be only 46mAh in capacity. It looks and calipers out to be either 1.25 or 1.50mm. Which is it for sure? Regards, Geo.

Re: TinySA calibration and level check with sma cable or both cables?

It could be done that way, but why? introduce more unneeded connections that could cause problems.
Anyway, the author of the TinySA wrote it that way, so I do it that way.?
I am sure you will really find the TinySA super useful. JUST BE CAREFUL not to overload the input and be very careful of static charges.?

Again, thanks Clyde for your help and see this Youtuber that caused my concern over the having to use 2 cables: " https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6xSXPVxaJxI " He refers to same around 6 1/2 minutes into the video.

What is the battery plug JST pitch in mm needed to match TinySA board connector? (1.25 or 1.50mm)

I would characterize that as Menu Tree as opposed to a Structure Map.

Not what I am looking for.
