Odd, I just printed a page and no stamp...

That's a Trial Version, puts a big stamp on each page.

It must have been successful, they discontinued
it and now offer an "improved" version for $$$$$.

Don't waste your time with Adobe Acrobat. Use PDF XChange Reader from Tracker Software.
Faster and better.

In the UK "Doxdirect" print stuff for me quickly and cheaply and I suspect there will be equivalents throughout the world.

Re: PDF of the menu chart

Andy is correct.? A4 is very close to the USA Letter size.? It would be the easiest to modify in Visio as seen here.

Hi Andy

I di not understand the problem you have. By the free Adobe Reader it prints on A4 sheet and not filling the width as the page selected by David is a US letter format pretty close to A4

Kind regards

Yes, True.
But at least it'll only cost him 100 USD (or less)... instead of 5000.00 USD, for a Keysight power sensor.
He could go through 50 Tiny SA... and still get most of his money back selling them on Ebay.
People doing this stuff all day long.
Most of them... these days... have got a call sign.

Can't you use the "shrink to fit" print option in Adobe Reader?

Hello

Herb, Kurt,? thank you for explanation! I have a knowledge gap in this matter.

With best regards,

Re: #bug_report #ultra Battery indicator not showing and Date/Time reset at each reboot #ultra #bug_report

Luca,
After booting with the jog weel pressed to the side do a CONFIG/CLEAR CONFIG and a PRESET/STORE/STORE AS STARTUP
This should solve the crash on boot problem.

Re: #bug_report #ultra Battery indicator not showing and Date/Time reset at each reboot #ultra #bug_report

Hi Erik

Sorry fo the late answering, I'm currently touring and have little to no free time

Since last time I wrote you my tinySA has been working nicely and only recently has started again prompting me the stack dump, every time I've managed to start it again by holding the jog wheel right during boot; I still haven't managed to snap a clear screenshot of the stack dump, sorry (touring life...)

Currently is easier for me to try and resolder or replace the diode, since i have both soldering stuff and diodes with me on tour and I need the tinySA daily for work

I'll keep you posted

Thanks for the wonderful assistance!

Re: Measuring SSB 8W Tranceiver Power #ultra

8W will destroy the TinySA, the absolute max i/p is 100mW, but this level is way too high for accurate measurements .

To get to a sensible level you will need at least 60dB of attenuation!!

@ Erik, thank you for your comments and assistance and fast response. I had just finished looking at video #08 Level Menu which all but answered my query, however, your suggestions have given me the confidence to go ahead with safety.
As somebody who has programmed touch screens in industrial automation projects, I commend the team for the design and execution of this excellent device, in particular the well thought out menu system.

The scale in log mode is always a multiple of 1,2 or 5

Re: Measuring SSB 8W Tranceiver Power #ultra

The max input power is specified on the case of the tinySA
For a 8W transmitter you should indeed use at least 1 external attenuator.
To be safe, calculate the external attenuators such that the input level of the tinySA is below -20dBm
This because you may want? to measure harmonics and for this you need the headroom of the internal attenuator to check your measurement

Measuring SSB 8W Tranceiver Power #ultra

Hi,
I am just starting out with the TinySA Ultra and still working my way through the documentation and videos which are great! Thank you.

I was looking at video #14?Testing a Transceiver and noticed that with the TinySA connected directly to the transceiver, on transmit, input attenuation on the TinySA was at 30dB and power was measured at 1.9W, which looked like max scale.

My question is, can I connect the TinySA Ultra directly to an 8W SSB transceiver (40m band) the same way and measure the power (W) or will I need external attenuation between the transceiver RF out and TinySA Ultra as I suspect? I was thinking of using a 50 ohm 20dB 10W attenuator followed in series with more 'low power' 20dB and 10dB attenuators if needed. Would this work and if so what sort of reading (W) would I expect to get on the Ultra at 8W TX?

My thought was to use the Ultra to align the BPF (Band Pass Filter) on the 40m band (7MHz) and also check the transmission power.

...still learning...it never stops

Hi, in? Level/ referent level / manual 0db? and? in scale /div? is setting 10 is OK, when type 11 or 15 db , the scale going wrong...
