Re: Attenuator Recommendations
I would like to order a 500w-50db-rf-sampler-tap-attenuator and the RF Power Meter. Does anyone have contact information for Symkrilag? I have questions about the capabilities of the RF Power Meter and shipping choices to the US.

开云体育If you can find an Elecraft CP1 and have a dummy load (a Cantenna or 300W dry load), that will get you down 30 dB up to 250W for the HF bands. Doug. K4DDM. On 10/21/2023 4:50 PM, Jim Campbell

Re: Windows 11 does not properly load tinySA in DFU mode.
All good. I feel like that's easier than any of the other options in the long run, but I suppose not all are adept at the command line of an operating system. So dfu-util for linux is the best (and only) answer for linux.

Re: Tiny SA Ultra Firmware

Very good description, Jim; firmware update works well and smoothly.
For updating with a Mac, an excellent suggestion to use "brew" for installing the loader utility program, without any need to manually download and "un-tar" any files, is described here:?/g/tinysa/message/7174 brew install dfu-util dfu-util -a 0 -s 0x08000000:leave -D tinySA.bin

Re: Attenuator Recommendations
Here is a fellow describing the exact design as used in the QEX article. You will want to build the 50dB version. This of course will have to be used in conjunction with a dummy load (up to 100W maximum) suitable for your transmitter.? In addition to the load you might want to put an additional?10dB attenuator feeding the TinySA Ultra if you will be operating near that 100W load limit. That way you can use the internal attenuator to further attenuate the fundamental?frequency to keep the front end of the TinySA level low to avoid seeing false spurs. The nice thing about the pickoff is you can easily?customize it to any RF connectors you would like to use, say SO-239's for in and out and a SMA to feed the TinySA. Good luck! Re: Attenuator Recommendations
There is an article that was published in either QST or QEX for a 50dB sampler a while back. I think the author was Bab Larkin. It was a DIY sampler pick off and was part of a power meter project if I recall correctly. I'll look around and see if I can find it. Sam Sam Reaves

Re: Attenuator Recommendations
Suggestion for a 100-watt transmitter: 1)? start with a 6 dB attenuator at 100-watts.? You're now down to 25-watts. 2)? follow that with another 6 dB attenuator at 10-watts.? You're now down to 6.25-watts. 3)? follow that with a 10 dB attenuator at 5-watts.? You're now down to 0.625-watts or -2 dBw or +28 dBm. From there on down, a good switchable 2-watt attenuator to -100 dB attenuation will handle about anything. In the future, you'll find many, m a n y? uses for your investment. Dave ? I updated the firmware of my TinySA Ultra on Linux/Ubuntu with the 'dfu-util' command, as advised at
