Re: Measuring FM deviation:2 meter (VHF) 1200 baud packet
I have a Singer-Gertsch FM-10 service monitor (100KHz-500MHz) that is excess to my wants. Great for setting FM deviation of transmitters. de Paul, W8AEF _____ From: [email protected]

Re: Measuring FM deviation:2 meter (VHF) 1200 baud packet
You can see pretty much all the settings I used in the images I posted.? Yes, it is slow.? This is why a spectrum analyzer, especially one like the tinySA, is not a good choice for measuring

Thank you for the clarification. I misunderstood the use of this feature. It's already working the way I need it to. Mirek Dne 10.04.2023 v 19:02 Erik Kaashoek napsal(a):

Re: Level Discrepancy Between 2 TinySA Ultras
It appears that the problem may be the synthesizer, although I do not understand why its output level changes when I switch TinySA Ultra devices. I just recently purchased this synthesizer and will

You specify the shift by specifying the actual frequency of the start of the scan. The shift can be both up or down -- For more info on the tinySA go to https://tinysa.org/wiki/

Re: Level Discrepancy Between 2 TinySA Ultras
Let me know of you disagree with any of these conclusions Last selftest: Both tinySA have same signal to noise at 30MHz with LNA on Attenuator test: Both tinySA have a good attenuator 400MHz test:

Re: Level Discrepancy Between 2 TinySA Ultras
Erik, I have made the measurements that you suggested and have attached the files. I could only generate a lower frequency of 435.1 MHz (closest to 699 MHz) and a higher frequency of 823.0 MHz

I am repairing the TS940 transceiver, it has a fault in the PLL and TinySA Ultra is helping me well. The SHIFT FREQ function is useful, where the displayed frequency is shifted by IF. It would be very

Re: Level Discrepancy Between 2 TinySA Ultras
Can you run a selftest on both devices and capture and post the end screen of the selftest where it shows the result of test 13? This should give an indication if the level calibration of the two

Eric, Before the NF measurment today I measured the gain of the amplifier again. Now I measured an amplification of 25.5 dB @ 100 MHz (before 25.7 dB) On the screen I saw a signal on the trace that

The other method to get the Noise Figure of a receiver is to determine the Minimum Discernible Signal (MDS) and then to calculate the NF based on a simple equation that uses MDS and the bandwidth used
