Thanks Herb,
I think a lot of people are attempting to use too much 'pixie-dust' and can't see the forest through the trees. We should realize the tinySA Ultra or variant, is just a VERY fantastic,

It would have been nice if he had announced in the original thread he started about his firmware update problem that the problem had been solved.? You know, like how he wanted all the files in one

If your measurement can stand the loss of sensitivity, then using an attenuator as a possible sacrificial element certainly works.
Some frequency domain measurements are performed on low level

I believe in the "KISS" method. Instead of trying to jump through all these 'protection' hoops, wouldn't it be easier to just go ahead and use a simple 'pad' (20db, 30db, pick your poison)?

It would be better to search for "Littelfuse". Easy mistake to make. For years I saw Littlefuse every time I looked at Littelfuse.

When referring to an item being "junk", it would be nice if you identified that "junk" so as the rest of us would be privy to the true ID of said item. Thanks.

The OP has solved his firmware update problem....
Vitaliy seems to have vanished after he got his problem fixed last week and was able to fix his problem.
He posted about it in a topic I started

I'm not sure that Vitaliy's problem is simply "driver not found."? He has some concern - apparently justified - that installing the driver in Windows will cause other problems in his system.? When

A signal input of +20dBm, without upfront attenuation, will quickly damage your tinySA Ultra. Without attenuation it is specified to withstand +6dBm.
Before the tinySA's were available for purchase,

Re: Input protection of tinySA Ultra

To be fair the only thing that is not as advertised is the use of Shotkky rather than PIN diodes. The advert does state 10MHz to 6GHz and a max i/p of +20dBm.
That spec makes it pretty redundant in

You might want to try using a TVS diode like this for protecting SDRs and
