Re: R&L Electronics Inventory: Come and Gone
I spoke with them by phone a couple of days ago.? They placed an order for 200 and got about 20 in... more to follow.? They have orders to use all the next expected shipment.? Your best bet is to place the order and get in line.? It may be a while.? Not sure if they will bill the card when the order is place or when it ships.

Erik,
thank you. Found the typo in sa_core.c at line 20 :) Now it compiled to the .elf file... Chris |

There is probably a typo in the source file
Upper,lowercase probably? Try changing to si4432.h |
HowTo for building the tinySA firmware under linux (ubuntu lts 20.04)

Hi Erik,
do you have some tips for building the tinySA Firmware by myself under Kubuntu LTS 20.04? I prepared everything as described under thwec readme in your github.com/erikkaashoek/tinySA/readme.md file... But after running make I got the following error: ... Re: New video: Level menu
Yes, I find your videos very helpful in understanding how to use the various functions and options of the Tinysa. Please keep up the good work. Roy WA0YMH On Sat, Sep 12, 2020, 7:55 AM Erik Kaashoek <erik@...> wrote: A not so short demonstrating the many possibilities of the level menu |
R&L Electronics Inventory: Come and Gone
? ?Its being reported on other groups that R&L Electronics in the US received a 100 each of both the tinySA and SAA-2N.? That's the good news.? The bad new is that both devices were sold out not soon after delivery.? Either there were a lot of pre-orders or some one did a large bulk purchase.
? Glad for Erik (tinySA) and hugen (tinySA/SAA-2N)? that the products are selling so well.? Maybe it will entice R&L to place a larger order on the next shipment. - Herb |
New FW release: Restore to different mode repaired
New FW release
Version V1.0-82 Changes: - Restoring a preset that uses a different mode is working again. Be aware that part of a preset is the stored trace. So if you want to keep a measurement for a long time (e.g. survive a power cycle or an empty battery) do a STORE TRACE and after that STORE into a preset. Once you do a LOAD the stored trace will appear again. |
Re: Minor Bug report and big thank you !
Hi Eric,
I could not duplicate it with Version 1.0-81. Thanks ! Regarding your other points: You can see from my "Screenshot", that my fundamental was externally attenuated to -27,6dBm and my RBW was between 250 and 500kHz. I was using 40dB + 20dB + 6dB = 66dB Attenuators to get 5W of Power down to that level.... But I will have a look into the Video anyway. Thanks for your help. @ All: Thanks for the helpful tips and the warm welcome here. I?ve already downloaded tinySA.exe, but the screen looks different from your screenshots, so I guess they were taken by nanovna-win. @OneofEleven: I already joinded your group "nanovna-beta-test". I am using NanoVNA Saver by?Rune B. Broberg for my NanoVNA and NanoVNA-F.? 73 Manuel; DL2MAN |

I bought the Tiny SA for Harmonics measurement of my uSDX Multiband SandwichManual, Make sure you watch the tinySA signal identification video about how to use the attenuator to make sure what you measure is actually present and not internally generated. The maximum spur free dynamic range is at an RBW of 10kHz about 72dB. Or to say differently. If you use an RBW of 10kHz your fundamental signal should never be more than 72dB above the noise floor otherwise the fundamental will create harmonics inside the tinySA which could harm you harmonics measurement. |
Re: Frequency entry bug
Just done a test ..
If I start with low mode and recall a preset saved for high mode, the problem is there - can't enter a new set of start/stop frequencies. If I start with high mode and recall a preset saved for high mode, the problem has gone - can enter a new set of start/stop frequencies. |
