Re: New TinySA-ULTRA Case (3D print) on Thingiverse #ultra

I might consider printing and selling a few of these for members here, provided they would be shipping to the US (I don't want to deal with international shipping).? No idea what I would price them at, though...

Would $30 shipped be reasonable?

Re: New TinySA-ULTRA Case (3D print) on Thingiverse #ultra

No idea if they will fit the clones, but if the clones are physically identical in size, they should be fine.

Hello all...

Just wanted to share that I posted an updated case compatible with the TinySA-ULTRA on Thingiverse.? It is available here:

This design is based on my original design for the TinySA/NanoVNA-H from here:??(this one is NOT ULTRA-compatible).

Thanks to Don for requesting it via Thingiverse, and for providing measurements of the ULTRA (I don't have one, so had to rely on him).? The photos of the assembled case on the Thingiverse page are his test prints to confirm proper fit.

Re: TinySA Serial Port Protocol

Whilst trying out the various commands I noticed an error - I ended up with the wrong description for the?level?command. Apparently during the copying process the wrong text became selected. The rev 3, odt word processor table corrected file is attached.

Re: Do I have a Clone?

Eric I thought I may have a problem with attachments. So here is a cut and paste. Did I run the correct self test? Did I pass? Is this genuine?
Thank You

Re: firmware update failed now I'm stuck

In DFU mode the screen will stay white
Steps to take
Connect the switched off tinySA to a PC with the USB cable.
Make sure the PC sound is on
Connect VDD and BOOT0
Power on the tinySA
The screen will become white
You will hear the USB connect sound from the PC to inform you that the DFU mode is connected

Re: firmware update failed now I'm stuck

Hello

poweroff your TinySA, than connect Boot0 and VDD, then switch the Device on with this connection.

Now it should be in DFU mode

firmware update failed now I'm stuck

Hello I tried to update the FW of my TinySA using ST32CubeProgrammer. Upgrade to tinySA_v1.4-33-ga8bffcf failed close to the end message say something like address XXX can't be writed.
Then the tinySA shows a withe screen when powered. Reading Erik explanation in the wiki " If an upgrade failed you may have to open the tinySA case and connect two points on the PCB (BOOT0 and VDD) to be able to try to upgrade again"
I tried that without success, I cant upgrade again because the white screen dont allow me to start the DFU.
So I'm looking for a solution to resolve my problem.

Re: #feature_request #feature_request

Toni, thank you.
As I have already written above, if touch calibration was not performed accurately enough, calling from these areas may become impossible. That's what happened with me. Everything is working now, very convenient. Now I will remember for the future, to perform this calibration with something sharp and very, very carefully.
And I agree with you and join the request about the green zone.

Re: TinySA Serial Port Protocol

Hi Tom,

Thank you for your effort, I found some commands that are not yet listed in your overview.

The command list is defined in main.c
https://github.com/erikkaashoek/tinySA/blob/434126dcc6eed40e4e9ba3d7ef67e17e0370c38f/main.c#L2021-L2163

The following commands are active in the latest tinySA version v1.4-36-g434126d from today:

Normal Commands:
  • sweep_voltage - usage: sweep_voltage {value(0-3.3)}
  • zero - usage: zero {level}
  • test
  • repeat
  • status
  • line - usage: line off|{level}
  • usart
  • usart_cfg

Single Letter Commands (?)
  • y
  • i
  • v
  • a
  • b
  • t
  • e
  • s
  • m
  • p
  • w
  • o
  • d
  • f
  • u

Re: Computer Monitor

I have a tablet that runs WIN7 and I have given up on it. Yes it works, but it takes about 4 min to load the software and then its so slow I could go out and have dinner between measurements. If I ever have the money for a new tablet I will try it again but for now its on hold and I run it on my laptop if I need portability.
In my opinion, the best feature of the tinysa app is the remote desk top feature. I wish there was a way to open it full screen with the push of a button so I don't have to resize the window to full screen every time.

Don,
Eric has released several videos showing the functionality of the TinySA app. You find them on you tube or from a link at the tinysa.org homepage.
