Re: Calibration Issues on my new TinySA

Where and when did you purchase? I somewhat remember someone saying to me that the #7 test will reveal a clone, as it can not successfully go thru this test. Steven, Thanks from me as well. I always thought (wrongly) that the NanoVNA-H4 was sub to the VNA-F. I guess I liked the larger screen and updated 5000mA battery install options by the sellers. I was favoring to buy the F over the H for those reasons. Live and learn I guess. 59 On Sunday, January 8, 2023, 04:29:30 PM CST, Steven Sp. <stevensporkmann@...> wrote: Hi Ed the SW gor the TinySA works only with the NanoVNA-H4 the SAA-2N or NanoVNA-F are different in the hardware, it would not be possible to use this devices.? I searched the Groups.io site, but did not see a group devoted to this topic/device. From what I was able to glean from the video, the TinyPFA requires a NanoVNA-H4 and (free) firmware developed by Eric. I do not currently have a NanoVNA-H4, but do have NanoVNA SAA-2N. I was wondering if this firmware would be compatible with my current NanoVNA or if I would need to acquire a NanoVNA-H4? I would like to see a group formed so that I can learn more about the TinyPFA and determine if I could find any applications for the device. Again, sorry for the off-topic post. -- Ed, K0KC ? k0kc@... http://k0kc.us/ -- George Dukish |

I AGREE........on the thought. Anything that can help us all out here, when it come to full utilization of the TinySA, is not 'OFF Topic'................ Printed with PLA. I haven't tried PETG yet. And yes, "Supports Everywhere". The hinge supports actually remained on the print bed when I removed the print. The attenuator support easily and cleanly popped out. Sweet! Mitch W4OA |

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi Scott
Eric need always selftest no 7 ;)
This can be created using a serial over USB command
selftest 0 7
with this test he knows clone or not a clone, if it is a clone (normally the original TinySA has no logo like SeeSii) he can not help you.

Just as long as 'LPUO' isn't Russia, Ukraine, China or Washington D.C. (FBI) field office, $30 is still a good price. Will you be accepting PayPal or 'Food Stamps'? "LPUO"-----------Even thought I was a 'Code Cracker' during WWI (many moons ago) I can not for the life of me figure this one out. Can someone help? L.P.U.O. must be an acronym to something that I am not familiar with. Again, please help so I can take this one off my 'Bucket' List!! Re: display filter curves with the TinySA
Thanks very much for this method Peer, immediately brought back memories from my first job, we used to have two " wobbulators "
to align central antenna amplifiers and umsetzer's ( frequency converters from uhf to vhf tv channels ) in a large system. They would check and re-align as necessary these components with the wobbulator. Did work with them on occasion but did not understand exactly how they worked, looked like magic then, guess i learnt some in the mean time..... Will try this out soon, all the best and thanks for the diagrams too, makes sense now, inject sweep signal on the input of the device whilst detecting the output signal with a diode/capacitor test probe or better, great. |
Re: New TinySA-ULTRA Case (3D print) on Thingiverse

Looks good!? Did you print that with no supports?? And is it PLA or PETG?? I personally print almost exclusively with PETG, and the only downside is that it doesn't bridge well, so if I print without supports, that "bridge" support for the attenuators in the lower left corner isn't great underneath...

Re: display filter curves with the TinySA
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýYou?re welcome¡it is important to set the sweep points to 145 when you use 50 msec as the TinySA can?t achieve 50msec with more sweep points. Furthermore this only works with the TinySA and NOT with the Ultra as the Ultra isn?t able to do such low sweep times in Generator Mode. ? KR ? Peer ? Von: ktm@... <ktm@...> ? ? Hi Peer, ?
