tinySA 1.3506 HIGH OUT, Level has no step settings, entering number like -38 dBm gives -34 etcCorrect, this is intended behavior as the high output can only provide a small set of output levels so when you enter a number it will jump to the closes available output. The +/- 1/10 buttons make no sense in this situation so they are not available. ? -- For more info on the tinySA go to https://tinysa.org/wiki/ |

1. Will the accuracy drop for different levels of Tx power(-12 to 10dBm)?At 868MHz you will need to use the high input for the tinySA which does not have a good input attenuator but only the step attenuator which is ill defined. You will have to calibrate the high input power reading anyway so it is best used with a fixed external attenuator. The high input (with the use of an external fixed attenuator) is more than capable of accurately measure a 22dB power range For best accuracy choose the external attenuator such that the input level at the high input is below -30dBm ? -- For more info on the tinySA go to https://tinysa.org/wiki/ |
TinySA for peak value measurement
Hello,
I'm currently working on a project(for academic purposes). I came to know about tinysa and would like to use the same for my project. The goal of the project is to automate the measurement of the peak value(power in dB) for each value of frequency. For example, a frequency of 868 MHz is set via the serial command to the spectrum analyzer and a continuous signal is passed with the help of an evaluation board to the spectrum analyzer (with different levels of Tx power, -12 to 10 dBm). Then, with the help of the corresponding serial command of the analyzer, the power value(peak) of the signal is to be measured. I would like to know if TinySA will be the best fit for this scenario. If so, I also have a few more queries. 1. Will the accuracy drop for different levels of Tx power(-12 to 10dBm)? 2. Does the input step attenuator affect the accuracy? Thanks and Regards Sanjeev |

Currently new groups.io groups are prohibitively expense once they go past to Free (100 member) level. This TinySA group would cost around $80/month if new. |

The app worked OK in all other aspects and the only place I could see to insert the command, selftest 0 x? was in the file area - is that where the command goes? Terraterm works fine on individual self tests and new Ultra firmware has corrected the test 7 condition Still finding my way through the menus etc. - a great piece of test equipment thanks Erik and team Brian |

Re: valid us sources
I concur with Larry AC8OX.? I ordered on Nov 17th and received an email from R&L Sales later that day that the Ultra was OoS and gave the option of waiting or cancelling.? I received another email on Nov 30th that it had shipped, and I received it yesterday Dec 3rd.? I was checking the R&L website daily and it was never in stock during this period.? Until the demand subsides, I doubt if it will ever be in stock. Larry AC8YE On Sun, Dec 4, 2022 at 3:55 PM Larry McElhiney via <lmcelhiney=[email protected]> wrote: Just a thought¡ |

It appears that R&L will process your order and place it in the queue even if Out of Stock. Waiting until it is listed as In Stock just puts you behind all of the orders which are already in the queue. ? As such, there might be a long wait until the?In Stock light comes on again, since orders will be filled from the queue first. I hope that every gets their Ultra soon! Larry AC9OX |
Tiny SA for Sale $60 shipped CONUS
I bought this last year from R&L and then I bought another one there last April thinking it was a later one, but they are the same (V0.3.1_E). So I only need one and selling one.
I think $60 is what it was plus shipping and tax, but this is free shipping, no tax, and I added a calibration kit...50ohms, short, open, and an m to m union. Comes also with an antenna, 2 cables, USB cable, and an F to F union. I also charged it up...only took 10 minutes or so.? Thanks for looking...KE9UW |
Re: valid us sources
smart move. I should have gotten an HP from ebay for 26GHz but I have absolutely no need for that capability. On Sun, Dec 4, 2022 at 2:53 PM N2MS <mstangelo@...> wrote: Wait a month for the new shipment to arrive. Any bugs found in the original production will hopefully be resolved. |
