Re: New FW: Experimental feature added: value button dragging
To all Feel free to continue suggesting improvements. Sometimes I need feedback from multiple people to spend time on things that are useful but I'd rather avoid (such as updating the wiki, or

----------------------------------------------------------------------------- A wishlist is not a demand, nor does it show a lack of appreciation.? I worked with Erik on the beta team and he knows I

Re: DTT spectrum in "high input"
I used the tinySA to debug dbv-c signal quality on my cable distribution. Easy to spot bad splitters or overload due to amplifiers

Re: DTT spectrum in "high input"
Thanks again EriK. I can't see how he can do it, but the important thing is that he does it. 30dB is not a panacea but it is pretty good. In a TV antenna installation the decoding will be satisfactory

Re: New FW: Experimental feature added: value button dragging
To Eric and Dave, and others, As an amateur and hobbyist in radio and electronics for 60 years, I *have* spent thousands on professional kit in the past, played with it, learned a lot but it has

Re: New FW: Experimental feature added: value button dragging
Hi Erik, My wishlist; I wish people would get a sense of perspective, if they want the features of equipment costing thousands, they should go and spend thousands. I wish that if what you've created

Nope, its fixed DSP inside the a chip

Re: DTT spectrum in "high input"
Is that high input mode mirror supression ¡° tweakable¡±, (eg with a balancing variable capacitor), or tiny twists of enamelled wire? Steve, ?G7PSZ
By Stephen Laurence · #480 ·
Re: DTT spectrum in "high input"
In high input mode there is some amount of mirror suppression, at least 30dB. Not good but usable for certain measurements

Re: DTT spectrum in "high input"
Thank you very much Eric, for your quick and efficient response. It looks better than I thought. I believed that the channels would appear widened when received above and below the LO frequency with

Re: New FW: Experimental feature added: value button dragging
The dragging will work for all form buttons that activate a keypad

Re: Coax cable shielding
With a short antenna the base station signal is -40dBm. Guess the shielding is a bit worse when one end of the coax is not connected

Something like this? Two adjacent DTT channels

Re: tinySA Un-Boxing
Personally, coming from a cyber security situational awareness... I don't comprehend all the wireless infrastructure need and implemented other than to create electromagnetic spectrum situations.?

DTT spectrum in "high input"
Hi all. I come to this group from the nanoVNA group. I don't have a tinySA yet but I will surely buy one. I would like to see a sweep of the "high" input of the analyzer scanning the UHF DTT band to

Re: Coax cable shielding
Attenuation of double shielded coax is around 90dB so that would make that base station signal 0dBm?

Re: New FW: Experimental feature added: value button dragging
Erik, v1.0-44 fixes the issue that was introduced regarding the multifunction switch.? The dragging left/right was kind of awkward for me, but picking a point left or right of center and holding down

Re: New FW: Experimental feature added: value button dragging
Yes those rotary encoders would be an improvement on the current jog, you'd have more/better control with altering settings.

Re: New FW: Experimental feature added: value button dragging
Erik, For the next (small) version, I was thinking of a rotary encoder similar to the ones used on the old Blackberry phones, pre touchscreen.?

Dear Erik, Maybe I can help a bit with my personal experience of Spectrum Analysers. Many others may have similar stories to tell. I am a retired doctor, but just happen to have a long (since age
