Re: tinySA has been listed in Alibaba store
I'm sure the tinySA will take off like dynamite like the NanoVNA, so I'll wait until it's in stores :) Sterling N0SSC On Thu, Jul 23, 2020 at 3:23 PM Shirley Dulcey KE1L <mark@...> wrote: If this first run is well received, I expect that the US companies that are reselling the NanoVNA-H (I know about R&L and Gigaparts) will make large purchases of the tinySA and resell it. Re: tinySA has been listed in Alibaba store
Alibaba sometimes randomly rejects credit card payments. I tried to order one of the NanoVNA test kits from there and it wouldn't take any of my cards, offering wire transfer as an alternative -- but wire transfer fees at US banks are very high and that would have cost me twice the value of the kit. I ended up getting the board that is offered on OSHPark instead and building up from that.
But I had no trouble ordering a tinySA. Somebody over on the NanoVNA group reported that Alibaba asked him for a registered company name and wouldn't let him order without one. But I have only seen the one report of that issue. |

Correction: tinySA Features
#features
{Correction was made to give proper credit to OneOfEleven}
? ? DisLord was part of the tinySA Beta testing program, so one of the features that made it into the tinySA UI is the very nice 3D user interface that was originated by OneOfEleven and merged into DiSlord's NanoVNA branch. ? The UI enhancements give a nice modern look and feel to the tinySA, and are definitely a value added feature.? Those user's who have upgraded to the 3D UI on the NanoVNA can attest to its value. ? Special acknowledgement to both DiSlord and OneOfEleven. - Herb |
Re: tinySA joins hugen's product line
Dick,
? ?My past experience ordering from hugen's Alibaba store is that the $15.59 shipping fee usually gets the package to me in the United States in 2 weeks versus up to a?month from other Chinese sellers

Re: tinySA Features

I take base idea of OneOfEleven. And implement this UI to all NanoVNA based projects (include V2)
All NanoVNA UI?refactored for more compact/fast and easy to add new features. Added vatiable icons, new fonts. |
Re: tinySA Features

Unfortunately all the screen captures and the video on the wiki are still the old UI.

Re: tinySA joins hugen's product line
$60? I was charged $15.59 for shipping via Alibaba Air Express. Different part of the US (I still live in 1-land) but that shouldn't change the shipping cost. On Thu, Jul 23, 2020 at 10:44 AM Dick <w1ksz@...> wrote:

I posted the following on the NanoVNA groups.io:
"hugen has released the tinySA spectrum analyzer at . The tinySA joins hugen's stable of products targeted at radio amateurs, students and electronic enthusiasts. It fills the gap for NanoVNA owners who have been trying to use the vna as a spectrum analyzer or signal generator. The tinySA was developed in conjunction with Erik Kaashoek a long time member of this group and an outstanding designer/programmer. At $50, not including shipping and handling, its a no brainer for hobbyists looking to expand their measurement capability on a budget. You can find all the product details at: " ? ? I had the good fortune of receiving a beta version of the tinySA and it has definitely earned its place on my test bench as a sub GHZ spectrum analyzer, with its own display, and built-in rf generator.? Because the tinySA's display is not as busy as the NanoVNA, the 2.8" diagonal dimension works out pretty well for me - and I wear glasses. If the 2.8" tinySA is successful enough for a 4" tinySA to be produced, then your purchase of the 2.8" tinySA will not be wasted because you can use it exclusively as a very capable signal generator. - Herb |
Re: tinySA has been listed in Alibaba store
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýNice! I will put an order in. I am collecting Nano projects like I
collect radios. :-) I look forward to seeing where the project goes from here. Maybe a V2 or a H4? Maybe a combination of the Nano VNA with the Nano SA built in one package? Many thinks to both of you for the project, and continued support
of them, great for experimentation.

Dear community enthusiasts, we have manufactured a small amount of tinySA for sale and now sell it through the Alibaba store. If the community feedback is good, we will make more. The current logistics speed is slow, and the logistics cost for sending to some areas may be higher. If you don¡¯t wait to test it, you can wait for us to manufacture it in large quantities and distribute it to overseas distributors. Purchase to save logistics costs. |
Re: tinySA has been listed in Alibaba store
Erik & Hugen...
Congratulations on bringing the project to this stage. I am wondering if there is a 4" variant in the works, or even at ambition level. Unfortunately my eyesight is too poor to be able to use the 2.8" comfortably. Well done to all involved! Gerry |
