Agreed, it's a sensible action, I would support it.

Good suggestion

How to disable marker tracking by default.

Some people do not like the automatic tracking of the first marker.

You can change this default behavior by:
Reset the tinySA
MARKER/MODIFY MARKER/MARKER 1/ disable tracking
PRESET/STORE/STORE AS STARTUP

Now whenever you reset the tinySA or do a LOAD STARTUP the first marker will no longer be a tracking marker

With the latest firmware you can disable the tracking of the active marker by pushing the jog switch to left or right without menu active

Re: Feature request: Automatic disabling of marker tracking attribute after dragging marker

I also prefer to disable the marker tracking feature as default. Makes me nervous ;-)

I also miss a possibility to manually set the marker frequency. (at least I didn't find it yet and it is also not in your Youtube "Marker Video")

I forgot about that. Will do.

Erik,
? May I suggest that you spend some time removing NanoVNA-App from future tinySA-App releases so that Cathy's beta application is not released in the wild?? I know that's not expedient, but you don't want to endanger the goodwill you and Cathy have? built.

Nicely done. ?Thank you.

Re: Firmware revision log?

Erik just released 1.0-96 today, adding a waterfall display feature. But he warns against using it for critical purposes, and some problems with it have been reported. Updating to 1.0-91, which you can find in the old folder, is probably safer.

Re: Firmware revision log?

Well I decided to do that and made a GitHub repository with as many as I could get, I may have missed some but here it is

New FW release: Big waterfall and settable minimum gridlines

New FW release
Version V1.0-96

Changes:
- Waterfall now can be in 3 states: off, small and big.
- New expert config options: set minimum horizontal gridlines
- New expert config options: display HAM bands
- Dragging a marker switches off the tracking attribute

As I am still traveling this release has seen a bit less testing. Don't use if your tinySA is mission critical and you have difficulty going back to previous release.

This can be done with touch drag, but also when you use the jog switch to move the marker. The latter can more easily be done accidentally after using the jog switch for the menu

Any thoughts about having this automatic disabling?
My thought is that, like marker 'Peak Search', dragging a marker is a clear indication the user no longer wants it to have a tracking attribute - unless the marker was dragged by mistake.

Re: New tinySA control program for Windows

The nanoVNA-app github source repository of OneOfEleven is not public.

It isn't there.? I already have the tinySA-App.exe, note that I mentioned above that I had got it to run in WINE.? I asked about the NanoVNA-app, because I wanted to see if there was any support for it that might give me a clue on how to get tinySA-App (running in WINE)? to access the USB serial port.? There doesn't seem to be any NanoVNA-app information on github, and apparently there is no support for it.
