Re: New TinySA-ULTRA Case (3D print) on Thingiverse #ultra

I was unaware of the cases on Thingiverse. Started printing my cases last night, lower half of tinySA case came out perfect!

My offer to trade a 3d printer for an Ultra still stands, LPUO!!

TinyPFA

I apologize for a bit of an off-topic post, but I viewed a YouTube video last night by Erik demonstrating the TinyPFA. I searched the Groups.io site, but did not see a group devoted to this topic/device.

From what I was able to glean from the video, the TinyPFA requires a NanoVNA-H4 and (free) firmware developed by Eric. I do not currently have a NanoVNA-H4, but do have NanoVNA SAA-2N. I was wondering if this firmware would be compatible with my current NanoVNA or if I would need to acquire a NanoVNA-H4?

I would like to see a group formed so that I can learn more about the TinyPFA and determine if I could find any applications for the device.

Again, sorry for the off-topic post.

Re: External modulation option for the TinyAS Ultra #features

Thanks for the quick reply, understand I do not need to investigate this further.

Re: External modulation option for the TinyAS Ultra #features

Because of the architectural difference it in impossible to do external modulation with the Ultra

External modulation option for the TinyAS Ultra #features

As I possess two (new) TinyAS Ultra modules I tried to enable the external modulation option however it seems this function is not available in the ultra.

How can I proceed, is this solved differently inside the ultra?

Hi all

I?m using my TinySA to perform alingment on AM and FM radios. This works very good with the TinySA and an oscilloscope. Hopefully the following pictures are usefull for some of you. If you don?t have a demod-probe the picture on the oscilloscope looks a bit different¡but it works also. Due tot he settings the 10,7MHz is in the middle oft he screen.

Re: firmware update failed now I'm stuck

It's now solved trying a different USB port in the computer.
Thank you, Antoine

Re: firmware update failed now I'm stuck

Hi Martin,
Trying a different USB port in my computer solved the problem, My tinySA is now upgraded with the latest FW, thank you for your very effective tip.
Also I'm going to make the HW modification wiring the BOOTO to middle jog switch
Appreciate, Antoine

Re: Just a question about behavior (tinySA)

With newer FW the calibration flag is only set after doing an actual calibration.

Just a question about behavior (tinySA)

After a FW update:

Up to FW version tinySA_v1.3-429-gc224fa9 2022-07-05, after entering the leveloffset values by console, the upper and lower display scale level indicators and the LOW mode indicator, which were red, automatically turned to white/green, as well as doing CONFIG/LEVEL CAL/CALIBRATE.

In the FW versions after this one, after updating the FW, after entering all the leveloffset values by console (previously saved), those indicators remain red even doing saveconfig and reset afterwards. The only way to change them to white/green is to go through CONFIG/LEVEL CAL/CALIBRATE menus.

Is this the expected behavior since the CALIBRATE routine is more complex and complete?

Toni

Re: My tinySA Ultra Signal level Critical #ultra

Hello Sarayut Hatsanai!

Why 4321?

Via console of tinySA APP "clearconfig 1234" or does tinySA4 Ultra work differently?
