You can do that. Or you can turn off AUTO NAME in the Storage menu and the Ultra will prompt you with a nice keypad for entry. In fact when I first tried this the SA had issues re-loading a preset that was auto-named.

i guess the second question is that if the SD card gets messed up and it be reformatted or does it have to be re-imaged? ?I have not looked at this card in the computer yet to even see what on it.
It looked like a standard format when I looked at it a few days ago.

Renaming files on Tiny SA Ultra

After doing a search here for rename or renaming I did not find the answer to this question.?

Does anyone know if it¡¯s possible to save frequency presets to the SD card and then pop it out and rename them to something that makes more sense? ?I see that the typical file name is something like SA_231207_222201.prs. It would be nice to name the file something like BROADCAST_BAND.prs

i guess the second question is that if the SD card gets messed up and it be reformatted or does it have to be re-imaged? ?I have not looked at this card in the computer yet to even see what on it.?

TinySA ~data~ Command Dump Content?

?
Greetings,
Below is an example ~data~ command USB port dump from my TinySA. At the time it was connected to an antenna and set to 10MHz to monitor the WWV time signal. It was also set to zero span, Volt units with no averaging. As shown the level was varying from about 44 to 47 microVolts and the data dump consisted of 15 measurements.

I wonder if there is documentation that explains what this data represents? I have the impression from experimenting that it might be the average level of all the measurements made during each of the most recent 15 sweeps - is that correct?

Re: New FW release: INTERVAL trigger and 50Hz modulation

Hi Erik,

I just uploaded a crude youtube video showing the new interval trigger timer feature which appears to be working really well.? Here is a link to my video for those interested:?

Out of curiosity when I select a display time of 20 msec and a trigger interval of 16.7 msec it appears to work just fine even though the trigger interval time I entered is less than the sweep time, and I suspect this is because the trigger interval timer just keeps resetting every 16.7 msec and therefore the unit really triggered again (display sweep updated) after the trigger interval timer reset two times.? Please comment if that's what really happens when the trigger interval time was set at a value less than the sweep time even though it does not matter as it appears to be working just great.

I'll trade a 3d printer for an Ultra, LPUO! You can print a case for yourself and one for your friends. :)

Re: firmware update failed now I'm stuck

After the unit is on, remove the short. The unit is now in DFU mode.
You can now update the FW.?
Please make sure you have the correct FW. The only time I see this problem is when one uses the wrong FW or loose the connection between the unit and computer during the upgrade.

Re: New TinySA-ULTRA Case (3D print) on Thingiverse #ultra

I might consider printing and selling a few of these for members here, provided they would be shipping to the US (I don't want to deal with international shipping).? No idea what I would price them at, though...

Would $30 shipped be reasonable?

Re: New TinySA-ULTRA Case (3D print) on Thingiverse #ultra

No idea if they will fit the clones, but if the clones are physically identical in size, they should be fine.

Hello all...

Just wanted to share that I posted an updated case compatible with the TinySA-ULTRA on Thingiverse.? It is available here:

This design is based on my original design for the TinySA/NanoVNA-H from here:??(this one is NOT ULTRA-compatible).

Thanks to Don for requesting it via Thingiverse, and for providing measurements of the ULTRA (I don't have one, so had to rely on him).? The photos of the assembled case on the Thingiverse page are his test prints to confirm proper fit.

Whilst trying out the various commands I noticed an error - I ended up with the wrong description for the?level?command. Apparently during the copying process the wrong text became selected. The rev 3, odt word processor table corrected file is attached.
