Re: New tinySA Ultra FW release: time/date added to status panel
Erik, In an ideal world that would be how it works. But not in my case. I¡¯m in dentist chair at the moment. I¡¯ll try with a different?computer later?today.? Also, Malware Bytes software really doesn¡¯t like your website.? I¡¯ll try with a bare computer without my antivirus software. Thanks for the response.? Re: New tinySA Ultra FW release: time/date added to status panel
I'm trying to update the FW in my original tinySA before the Ultra. In STM32, first I get the readout protection message. I check the "Read Unprotect" box but then the program tells me to power off/on the device. I do that, get back into DFU mode, USB1 but when I try to connect, I once again get the power off/on message. What am I missing? I'm not seeing mention of this in the wiki or am I missing it? Tim? Guys,
Many thanks for all your responses.? I think you have more than adequately answered my question.? Well done on the product release.? I suspect that the increased resolution will excite many hams: order placed!! Regards. D. |

Re: Tiny SA shipped
I ordered mine from them on Nov 9th and received it today. The lettering is not highlighted in white so I don't know if it's the real thing or not...gotta find time to check it out. Tim? Also low power and full power (with appropriate attenuation, of course). Dave - W?LEV On Wed, Nov 30, 2022 at 11:58 PM Evan Hand <elhandjr@...> wrote: Roger, -- Dave - W?LEV |

Roger,
The two-tone IMD test is to be done with frequencies that are not harmonically related.? The ARRL audio tones are 700Hz and 1900Hz.? This prevents the IMD products from being masked by the original signals.? Can you rerun the test with 14.000700MHz and 14.001900MHz? 73 Evan AC9TU |
Re: Will the TinySA Ultra allow me to examine SSB modulation?

You might want to run a 10 kHz span.? Tones 1 kHz apart would put the third order IM products +/- 3 kHz.? I don't believe a 5 kHz span will catch either one with the tones more-or-less centered.? If offset, maybe one at a time?? Also, what was the output power with 2X1 kHz spaced tones?? -55 dBc is pretty good for the average transceiver even for the second order IM products which should show in your 5 kHz span.? However, if you are using pre-distortion, such a reslt is possible. Dave - W?LEV ? Re: R&L shipment notice
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýGot my shipment notification yesterday too. USPS picked up today (in OH). Hoping it arrives before our monthly Satellite Amateur Radio Club (VSFB) meeting on Saturday. It would be a nice show-and-tell. ??-chuck -- I have both NanoVNA and the NanoVNA-H4. The H4 is even more impressive than the original. I've seen a couple of YTs on the tinySA and I'm very intrigued. I'm raring to sponge up any and all info on it! I already have an IFR-A-7550 with TG, but it's limited in many modern overlay features (markers, for one). For the price, the tinySA looks like it needs to join my bench. |
Re: Tiny SA shipped
I ordered my TinySA Ultra around November 17th from Zeenco Store through AliExpress and shortly after that received word that it had shipped.
After a few days I checked and it had shipped (Nov. 21, 2022) After checking a few more times it appeared to be on its way back to the seller for some reason. It seems to have arrived back at the sellers on Nov. 26, 2022. No word on why, other than I saw? reference to the battery in the tracking order. Hopefully it will soon be sent my way again.? Anyone have a similar problem?? Bruce,? VE1II |

Hi guys,The smallest RBW is 200 Hz.? So you can test your SSB transmitter for IMD and harmonic distortion with narrow spaced tones.? Here is a tinySA Ultra screenshot of two -71 dBm tones that are 1 kHz apart in the 20M band.? Span is set to 5 kHz. "Lobe shape" is effectively the plot of the 200 Hz. RBW filter. 200 Hz. is -3 db width Roger |

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýThere's a man named Robert Einstein at some interesting perspectives on time but not necessarily waiting.? He wasn't the ham but he probably would have enjoyed a tinySA.
