TinySA II
My wish is that a 4.3" version of the TinySA TFT Color display could be released. My NanoVNA 4.3" screen is easy to see and use the touch screen. Comments group Dennis Dennis, N5VRP n5vrp.satx@... Near Hemphill, Texas |
Listen mod
开云体育Now I see R7, but a picture of the mod on this layout would still be helpful. (Is this the current layout, or an older one?)

Listen mod for different PCB layout
开云体育I think I have an easy way to solidly mount a readily-available connector for the Listen function, but my PCB layout is different from the picture on the wiki that shows the mod. For example, I don't see an R7. I wonder if Erik could circle the appropriate points on my layout (shown below). Thanks in advance, and I'll show my mod if it works out as expected.Terry |
Re: HIGH input level calibration
Unfortunately that is not possible.
You can use a calibrated low input to measure any external source between 240 and 350 MHz and once the level of that external source is known, use the same source to calibrate the high input. An example source is a cable TV signal -- For more info on the tinySA go to https://tinysa.org/wiki/ |

Thanks for all the support. I plowed through it on my own yesterday and eventually got it updated. This is a useful device. tinySA-app is running. Looks really good.
Thanks again. |
Re: New FW release: Bug solved: entering fractional frequencies corrupts input
Hi Erik,
After the update to this version and new calibration the self test of my device (original) fails - Test 4: Stopband Critical - Test 6: Above Critical - all Other Tests: Pass. All other funktions of the device are OK. The HW version of my device is V0.3. Thank you for your good work. -- Bert W |

I just uploaded DFuSe Demo to the files section. I find it very easy to use. You want to download the update file for the TinySA (or the NanoVNA - it works with that, too) in .dfu format. Re: Firmware update

开云体育This is the easiest way, but anyway you need that the DFU mode drivers are installed, and that you insure the TinySA is in DFU mode. Regards, Ignacio

开云体育Have you downloaded and installed the TinySA app on you PC?? Forget all the other stuff and use the app. Put the SA into DFU mode and click on update. Use the DFU file, not the hex or bin files. It works every time. On 28/03/2022 00:01, Karl W4KRL wrote:

开云体育Karl, please see comments below. For the avoidance of doubt, one feels your pain. HTH, 73, Robin, G8DQX On 28/03/2022 00:01, Karl W4KRL wrote:

That means one or both of (at least) two things: a) that the tinySA has not been put in to DFU mode, or b) that there is no Windows DFU driver installed. The same firmware update mode is also used for the nanoVNA, and there is a clear-looking explanation of installing the driver under Windows 10 to be found at /g/nanovna-users/message/20899. The DFU driver issue is not mentioned in the STM32Cube instructions [I don't know if this is an omission or the Cube programmer automagically sorts things out.] The DFU Driver issue is also not mentioned (is missing)
in the generic firmware update instructions to be found at .
AFAIK there is no set of instructions for firmware update that specifically address Windows 11. As for understandable that rather depends on who the specific audience member is, their domain specific knowledge &c. Full disclosure: this author is not currently using any Windows
machine, 11 or otherwise. |
