Re: WinSpectrum III spectrum analyzer application designed for Windows users working with Tiny SA Ultra+

Yes, WinSpectrum III should work with TinySA Ultra (non-Plus) and TinySA (non-Ultra) since all share the same VID and PID. However, this has not been tested, so functionality is not guaranteed.

Re: WinSpectrum III spectrum analyzer application designed for Windows users working with Tiny SA Ultra+
Hi,
?
It's a nice simple & clean interface, well done, and thanks for your efforts.
?
My only observation is that I can't seem to control the pre-amp in the settings menu, but maybe I'm looking in the wrong place ?
?
Regards,

Erik, Thanks for the rapid reply and information - that makes complete sense.? The array videos you have created for the TinySA product line are extremely useful.? Now it's time for me to admit that I posted my query since I was unable to locate my TinySA Ultra, amidst an ever-expanding array of electronic toys, er I mean test instruments.? I know it is out there somewhere in a plastic bin, but impatience to measure the NF on a new LNA overcame me.? In the meantime, I learned about the upgraded ZS407 model and ordered one from R&L.? Can't have too many spectrum analyzers laying around!

Re: Noise figure measurment not built into standard (2.8") TinySA?
The Ultra has a built-in LNA which is needed to measure the NF of a amplifier.
?
Here a video that demonstrates how to do a NF measurement using the tinySA Basic. FOr this you need a extra LNA.
?
For the tinySA Ultra you can do it as shown here:
No extra LNA is needed.
