Grey Screen After Firmware Update
Good morning, I recently purchased a TinySA and went through the first use steps and updated the firmware using the STM32 windows application. After completion I power cycled the unit as instructed

Re: TinySA Ultra SelfTest and Level Cal fail after firmware update
Particularly iffy when someone who doesn't know what they don't know inserts themselves between those who know they know and the problem.

Re: TinySA Ultra SelfTest and Level Cal fail after firmware update
Remote diagnosis is always an iffy proposition, hence "almost certainly". Missing some crucial piece of information, an otherwise good guess can come up with the wrong answer. 73 Rick KC3DOO

Re: To be or not to be, Genuine
I have to admit the screen and hand sizes went sailing right past me. Between the bogus artwork and the selling price ($139 at R&L), there are red flags in plain sight. Camil Direct just sent me a

ESD protection
Here's an easy question for ya'll.? In the Wiki FAQ it says about ESD protection " Make sure you have FW v1.3-3 or later. Go to CONFIG/VERSION. If the last line of the displayed version info is "ESD

Re: To be or not to be, Genuine

Re: TinySA Ultra SelfTest and Level Cal fail after firmware update
Methinks you¡¯re trying just a bit too hard Rick ?. I can¡¯t keep up with the traffic on here recently?. As Erik is the designer and Hugen is the maker (AFAIK) it¡¯s pretty certain they will

Re: Antenna Field Mapping, an Idea
There are companies in the US who do this as a commercial venture.? They also have the wherewithal to perform the required near-field to far-field transformation of the data - without which renders

Re: Used the tinySA app to update but now won't connect
It is failing because you have two of COM4. This should not happen but the solution would be to map the second COm4 to a different port number. 73 -Jim NU0C "Lou W7HV via groups.io"

Re: Antenna Field Mapping, an Idea
With this in mind, it would be really useful if the TinySA app could take in real time GPS NMEA data, and create updated log files with time, date and position stamped signal level or plot file

Re: Antenna Field Mapping, an Idea
I have used a high impedance "E-Probe" type amplifier with a 1m long whip, fitted to a car roof with a magnetic mount. The intention at the time was to build a cheap drive around VDSL interference

Re: TinySA Ultra SelfTest and Level Cal fail after firmware update
Thanks Rick. I guess the next question is obvious. Does anyone have suggestions on where to buy the input switch XINLUDA XA17-G4K in the US? I checked my usual sources (DigiKey & Mouser) with no luck.

Re: TinySA Ultra SelfTest and Level Cal fail after firmware update
Oh, well, I tried. ;D Seriously, Erik and Hugen's answers are almost certainly the answer to your question - not a clone, just dinged, but repairable. Best of luck with the surgery! 73 Rick KC3DOO

Re: Used the tinySA app to update but now won't connect
Welp, I found a workaround.? Disabling Bluetooth on my computer gets the tinySA app connected and working. I don't necessarily need BT active when working with the tinySA, but I'd like to have it

Thanks guys. Sorry to bother you with this. Guess I'll have to be more careful once I get it back in business. Take care, Mike

Re: TinySA Ultra SelfTest and Level Cal fail after firmware update
Unfortunately it looks like your RF switch and LNA are damaged, if it is ESD damage it usually only damages the RF switch. Maybe you accidentally fed an RF signal that exceeded the power limit, you
